yyeessssssss This situation makes a nervous pioneer! Buuuu :) Excellent machine! Load waveforms automatically! Excellent!!!!! I love DENON! GREAT WORK!! GREAT MODEL!!!
I do like the new Prime series. Good to see that Pioneer is finally facing a solid competitor. One question though: Why did you guys decide to go with green-white-blue VU meters?
It's a good competitor, but is there really anything NEW here? I may very well be missing something, but generally seems about the same as a NXS2, but adds independent filters and loses the ability to apply effects to just low / mid / highs.. That's great as both are great mixers, but is it enough to force clubs / people to switch? Doesn't seem like it...
You don't make a new club standard by adding new features, you just do existing ones a little bit better that the competition. ;) Denon learned that the hard way with previous products that had a bunch of new features but still failed to break into dj booths. People like simplified things, that's why they loved Pioneer (so far).
And a small correction: ability to apply effects to a specific freq band is there. It's a knob instead of three buttons. Both ways have it's advantages, think about it.

THE BEAST...
Beat FX's are not quantized to the beatgrid of the songs when Engine Link is used, only on the bpm timing. Why is that Denon?
