@@Jae_MaV Not far enough sadly 😂. I’m hoping by the time I get there Denon will have released new versions so that I don’t buy old gear just before new gear is released
Can't wait to get my hands on this! :) Just a suggestion, any chance we can have 8 sweep fx instead of 4? For eg, an option on utility that can have us choose a different sweep fx over another? Would love to see Crush in particular on this mixer as well as a few others.
@@calebalves82 Idiot, I owned a Denon x1800 so was one of the many who got fucked over by Denon and their false promises of updates for it ... I now own a Xone 96 and I'm more than happy.
So because the X1850 has a new 3/4 time divishion on the touch strip, will the ''FX TIME PARAMETER'' knob allow you to fine tune the timming? or does it still annoyingly snap to the perdetermined time divishions, like on the X1800? I really hope it's fine tunable! Or what's the point of having a knob/encoder that performs the exact same task as the touch strip!
I have had this mixer for over a month. Great mixer but durability I have had issues already with. Channel 3 headphone que, no click anymore. Have to press it hard to function. Five of my eq’s across 4 channels the tension in the knobs is not there anymore when rotating left or right. Low and high on channel 1, mid on channel 2, low on channel 3, high on channel 4. Frustrating as I can’t return it for a new unit because it’s been over 30 days. One of my s6000’s don’t eject the usb flash drive anymore also, have to turn the deck off to take it out. Month and half and yes Im careful and take care of my gear. No customer service on Denon dj’s part also. Been trying to reach them multiple times on the issues with no reply 🤬😡
Improved low high pass filter sound (their claim, haven't heard difference) 3/4 timing on effect strip, 2x New BPM effects Echo Hold and Pumper, Quantized effects, Drum Machines and Synths sync over midi to Beat Grid as well as BPM now is what I gather. Solid improvements but these may not be important to some.
Looks solid. Would have loved to see a master eq and feedback destroyer on mic inputs like the xdj-rz. Recording options I would also like to understand.
X1850 has a locking IEC connector, thick grease in the upfaders, white rings around some of the knobs, more timing divisions on the touch strip, the ability to force effects to quantize rather than based on your timing of triggering them, but the 96khz mode is defective.
Ok Denon, thanks for keeping the dj technology innovation going, good stuff! But I got to bring the real respond to Denon as you introduce for these units. As an owner of the 2/SC5000 and X1800, I knew Denon was coming with something but doesn't know exactly what it was. So, you know there is no difference between the X1800 and the X1850, so what is the under the hood difference? So for a better business innovating move, I would have thought the dj industry may have been shock if Denon would have create a rotary mixer and called it X1800R like you sister company Rane (MP2015). "Sorry to bring the bad news but the Midi function in the X1800 sucks." So, why haven't Denon implement Ableton Link within the mixer? One more question, where is the Zone-Out!.... come on Denon ... you left out the Zone-out. You should implemented a Bluetooth Zone-Out.
exactly my thougts aswell !!! why the hell you need 2 tv screens or a bigger platter when the sc5000 set is great the way it is and the mixer ????????? x1800 vs x1850 ... o i see its the number 50 at the end 😋 but hey fucking great like this i dont need to pay a new 4000 euros
The hardware is not substantially different other than the now-locking IEC port (I've never accidentally unplugged an IEC from a mixer), the 3/4 on the pad (was already available on the rotary encoder), cosmetic changes (some good, some bad), and the better wiring of the bottom internal grounding posts that some people had issues with (might as well). The grounding posts thing was easy to resolve, though. Most all the other differences are software and are coming to the X1800. Basically they wanted to "refresh" the look of the X1800 to match with the refreshed look of the 6000s.
should have made the channel faders replaceable, by 2 screws like the crossfader, they are always breaking on every mixer, through dust, drink, cig ash, and any thing else, only scratch dj's use the cross fader, nobody else, hated not being able to replace faders for 15 years
the channel faders are always replaceable, what you mean is for them to be "plug and play" replaceable. I've desoldered plenty of trim pots and slide pots on mixers/controllers without any issues
The sc6000s are sexy as fuck but the only thing that changed is the screen and no more rgb buttons which I love on my sc5000s and my prime 4. I'll stick with my sc5000s. Also there is absolutely no difference in the x1800 and x1850. I still love u though, Denon DJ
