I just had to giggle when you likened Davy's Grey to muddy water. I own the Rembrandt Davy's Grey and really like using it as a grey-green; especially with Sennelier Caput Mortum.

There’s definitely a place for every colour! I think it was just a surprise to me, so different from every other davy’s grey I’ve seen

Spinel grey is an unusual pigment, non-reflective, and capable of making a pitch black in a single layer. It takes a little getting used to, but can be used as a perfectly neutral tint to darken colors, and can make a large range of greys. Thanks for the video!

Thanks this was very useful. I am looking for 2 to 4 neutrals and this popped up just in time. I enjoy your commentary and references to pigments. I look for single pigments a a rule, and your comments gave me lots of extra information.

I love that dusk pink! Finally bought it and it's gorgeous. But damn I've really got to stop myself purchasing those gorgeous earthy oranges otherwise it just gets out of hand. They are a fave of mine!

I just bought a 20ml tube of Rembrandt Quin Orange, so it’s still around for now. Ngl, I’m already thinking of getting another one. I agree with you, Rembrandt seems underrated. I have eleven of them now and I use them all the time. Thanks for sharing your dot card with us!

I loved your excitement when you got to the special effects colours!!!💖 you did a great job showing them to the camera, they look so pretty! 🤗 I have all three of the dusk colours but in their Van Gogh student range. To be honest, I hardly ever use them though! Thanks for a very therapeutic swatching session🤗💖☺️

Yes they do seem to be very specific - beautiful but not very versatile. I'm glad I did okay at showing them off, it's always a challenge!

I cannot find Rembrandt dot cards with the full 120 colors, only 40. I love dot cards.
