It may be fate. Like when Luna was banished a lot of pony’s like sunset, moon dancer, starlight, twilight, star tracker were born. These could also an attempt to bring sun, twilight, night into existence. So at the time they needed a bad guy to complete the harmony. You can’t have good without evil. I didn’t mean born right there and then. I just meant that pony’s that have an association to the night were born. If we look at it there seems to be a balance for good vs evil. When one is absent another is born to take their place. When Luna was banished it seems pony’s associated to the night became more common placed. It’s just a theory however.

Considering discord can make a volcano appear out of nowhere in a millisecond or warp reality just as fast can’t be compared to any other villain. He is a god. I highly doubt any villain could do such things. He could even have more power but thanks to the age range of the show be was dumbed down. Even bill cipher can’t do a quarter of what Discord can do. Discord is unmatched by 99.99% of all villains.
Arguably, Bill Cipher could've done a lot worse than what happened in Weirdmageddon but was restricted by the magnetic field that prevented the spread of weirdness.
Tirek said To discord “You were Legend” during his first appearance which means Discord was already older by some degree.

discord definitely did not get created by starswirl because in comics it is confirmed that he has been around since at minimum the dinosaur era, which would have been millions of years before starswirl was born. He also most likely wasn't created by grogar for the same reason, because if I'm not mistaken grogar was born around the time equestria was created which was only a couple thousand years prior to the show. The main theory that myself and you kinda talked about is that discord was created whenever the action of chaos was first portrayed, as discord always states that he is the embodyment of chaos, and he even begins to fade when he isn't chaotic so it would make more sense. It also still works with the harmony thing u were talking, but just millions if not billions of years earlier, whenever the concepts were introduced. Thats only if you take comics into account tho. Just based on the show urs makes sense
How canon the comics are is questionable because nothing in the comics is referenced and the show retcons the comics like sombra reforming.

I believe that Discord, if he is the lord of chaos, he is chaos himself, then he is essentially chaos. He has always existed. In addition, Grogar is the father of monsters, he is like the creator of villains. But Discord is above all this, he is not just some kind of monster, he is almost a God who can do whatever he wants. most likely, it has always existed and will always exist. Even if he is killed, I think that he will return because there will be no world without chaos, maybe even stronger than he is. Just like you said, the spirit of harmony and the spirit of chaos. Two opposites that cannot exist without each other. But I believe that Discord has always existed, and the spirit of harmony appeared later for balance. As for Discord's naivety, he has always been like that and underestimated his opponents, until the last episode of season 9

My personal idea is that Discord manifested into reality when chaos entered the realm. When Grogar created the creatures chaos spread and thus Discord created-
I'm inclined to think that Discord was created by Grogar. Large gaps can be explained by Discord being frozen in stone. One other thing, I don't think Discord is a chaos god at all. I think his primary role is progress. We need progress to prevent stagnation. Chaos is just a byproduct of progress.
What if discord had a tree and he came from it as soon as the tree of harmony was formed, that’s why I call the new tree harmony prime and discord nexas

I have a theory as to how discord came to be. The pillars made the seed because starswirl encouraged it. His reason was born of his mistrust and arrogance. He had the disharmony inside himself and it also was seeded when the seed of harmony was planted. I would love if someone could take this theory and open it up for everyone to see. Thanks
Starswirl being discords creator actually make sense, so imagine Starswirl created Discord just before the pony of shadows, then abondoned discord because he was a body of chaos, which he hates, and hoped he wouldnt survive without him. Then he grew up and realised his powers and took equestria in revenge to starswirl abondoning him
To be honest discord was based on draconequus from the Greek mythology

You forgot abt discord getting turned to stone. When the planting of the tree of harmony happened, the elements of harmony had also been born. Discord was probably from a civilization with strange creatures like him. He couldve left to start a new life elsewhere and on his journey encountered a creature that put chaos magic into discord. That means by the time he got to equestria, the tree of harmony had fully grown, and somthing used the elements of harmony to turn him to stone through the timeline, it was the tree itself. When the uh uh uh forest thing was taking over it attacke the tree of harmony... But 𝓦𝓗𝓨?
the tree of harmony isn't a "tree" at all. It is a living creature whom took the form of a tree to save equestria.. but from what? The creature could see into the future, that's why. But how? It's simple. If was a pony. Not just anh ordinary pony, The person who created alicorns. Star Swirl the Great. When he died, his spirit went into the tree of harmony, causing it to grow the elements of harmony. One day, discord arrived at the tree of harmony. And star swirs's spirit knew he was the one, skhe caused the elements tivyurn him to stone, but for discord to later break out and cause Celestial and Luna to go defeat him to save equestria. Me for myself question the harmony theorie bc I can't see harmony as the opposite of chaos. Harmony (as I understand its meaning) describes the balance between all existing opposits - heat and cold, light and darkness, good and evil, chaos and order.
Following said theorie bout the tree/ghost of harmony it could've been that Discord came to life the same time as the spirit of harmony did - not as it's counterpart but as the counterpart of a third ghost of order, with harmony as their balance (just don't know who that could be..).
My prefered theorie would mean that discord as the chaos itself came to exist together with order as the universe has been created - or even before.
To answer the question, where discord wuz before he took over Equestria back then: well.. as simply as it sounds but.. he wuz at college with the smooze 😜
Discord is really powerful but is he rlly that powerfull I kean he got turned and got freed from stone by 6 shiny gems as a necklace ajd 1xof them as a crown wich had broke by someone weaker than discord as around the end of beginning of end part 2 where discord said he pretended to be hurt as a would be king ( king sombroaw) would hurt him so it just don't mix up as if discord can be prisoned by some gems wich can be broken by someone weaker than discord.

i have an own theory in season 4 when t rex betrayed discord he took his magic. then in season 9 episode 25 when the princesses and discord magic was in there. cozy glow wanted the magic inside the bell and she said i would be so much powerful is i could get my hoofs on the bell then they started arguing then t rex said we cant use the bell until we figure out how to use this fools chaos magic but she took discord magic in season 4. i love your vids keep up the good work

One thing i took to noticed in the episode was that yes, they did in fact surrender their magic, but twilight took and used the magic they had left that they were made up of to escape tartarus. Discord’s magic powers were taken, not what he was made up of. So yes, the theory of Grogar could be true.

So my first one is that this cord came out of the tree maybe to protect it maybe well you understand something to keep the tree safe but then maybe he ran into some sort of chaos any sort. The description give the basis of the controversy, but here are more details for those who want it.
The basic story of what happened goes as follows (yes, you'll have to read a bit but this is a condensed version of the mountains of text they gave):
A 15-year-old fan (a name I've seen is Ash) was a big fan of Sawtooth and made art and videos for him. He eventually saw them and thanked her for the art. They became friends, talking about MLP theories. He has done this with many fans and even featured some in collabs on his episodes. Eventually she confesses that she has a crush on Sawtooth (whom had just turned 19), making him feel awkward about their relationship and initially denying her feelings back. Some weeks later, the conversation came back again he came back with a "maybe if you were older" type comment which gave her hope in that they could be a couple when she was older but for now would just be friends.
Over the next year or so, they would become much closer, talking more openly about things like mental health, family situations, et cetera. They were essentially online bf and gf but didn't do too much apart from roleplay and virtual hugs and kisses. Typical teenager stuff. Then her mother comes in, and she is quite abusive to Ash and threatens Sawtooth to stop talking to her. This is when both parties realised how serious this relationship could be. They didn't want to give up being friends but were willing to put themselves at distance. They would go weeks or even months without talking because of her mother's rules, but they did occasionally mail to each other (as they had done prior while sending fanart to each other). During these separations, she became even more obsessive than she was to the point that she started ignoring her studies and failing in school. On the few times they did reconvene, Sawtooth warned her to not ignore school but she ignored his warnings.
By about 2019, they were barely in any contact. Her mother placed a final strict separation between them, though Ash would still text Sawtooth, even though he refused to text back because of her mother's boundaries. A point that was brought up earlier was that when she turns 18, she can make her own decisions and wouldn't have to listen to her mother anymore. When she did turn 18, Sawtooth would start returning her texts and they would officially become a couple. At this point, they began exploring a mild sexual relationship (no one was forced or pressured to do anything), but this wouldn't last too long. The relationship was immediately toxic and ended barely 6 months (I believe) after it started. Sawtooth was the one to break it off.
They apparently had a momentary FWB deal but there really is no detail as to how all of that went but they were both adults at this time so it generally isn't our business but it was clear their relationship had grown sour. Then by 2022, Ash told Sawtooth that she was gonna expose him for their relationship and Sawtooth knew that if she did, he would never be trusted again because he knows how the internet is gonna take stuff like this. She got him to beg that she not come forward because it would mean the end of his channel. He would eventually accept this and stopped making videos for a while. By February, both made posts around the same time detailing their sides and Sawtooth privated his channel. She blames him for being 19 and fraternising with a 15 year-old at the time and for being the reason she did bad in school and can't go to college.
I'm not even framing it, that is literally what her trauma was; that she did bad and school and blames it on him. It's obvious to me at least that this was a masterclass of a nothing burger that honestly has nothing to do with us so there was no reason they should have actively destroyed his career, but we all know how the internet is. No one can make a mistake without being caught and cancelled for it, no matter how many years have passed or how small the mistake was.

But I hav another headcannon. It's completely non canon to the timeline. What if like u said the ever free forest and tree of harmony were there at the same time but the tree of harmony and a lot of magic so it prevented the ever free forest from overgrowing and there was an imbalance between chaos and harmony seeing that harmony was taking over so discord manifested in equsstria to balance out the chaos and harmony.
When twilight took the "lasting" power of those creatures it took the magic that made them one out of more animals. They didn't had any superpowers. We see that when the main 6 thought that the chicken that turned ponys into stone it couldn't then. But discord had his magic when he teamed up with trec and when trec took the magic of discord he didnt turn into seperate pieces because he had the power that made him what he is.
Actually... the StarSwirl theory makes sense (that he CREATED Discord, not "turned" into him). What if Discord was accidentally created by StarSwirl, and because of his gruesome appearance, StarSwirl abandoned him in the world? Just like Victor Frankenstein did to the Creature. We could see Discord aging in G5, so maybe he was born a baby creature, unable to control his powers, therefore unable to defend himself or control his chaos magic. This is how he took so long to appear, because he was growning up and learning about his own existence and powers. It makes sense to me. It also makes sense why he would turn into a villain after being abandoned, just like Frankenstein's Creature. Himself said he never had a friend before Fluttershy.
That would be really weird if star swirl was discord because that would make him an old man and fluttershy is like 20
What if Discord was made by starsworl the bearded if he tried to leve limbo but the monsters magic tampered with the spell that made discord and he left limbo when the tree growed and what if limbo time didn't go in a blink of a eye what if it teared years to days
What if he was gregors manifestation? Or his creations manifestations and so much of it all together created him similar to the reference of the 3 siren horses when the 3 pony races spent the day trying to come to an agreement about which pony type should be more important

Discord is the opposite of the tree of the harmony so when the tree kf harmony became this all grown tree from the seed planted by the pillar, discord was created as the partner and opposite of the tree. This explain how when he appeared for the first time and fought the sister he planted the seed to destroy the tree, or when the keys for the main 6 box he knew where even what was the keys.
Discord is Q from Star Trek. It’s just so far in the future that ponies replaced humans as the dominant species so Q disguised himself and took up the identity of discord.
What about cosmos/cosmo?
If the comics really are canon then that could also give us more clues
Alright hear me out sawtooth, lets go back to the starswirl idea and i know the reasons why it wouldnt work out if starswilr CREATED him but listen ik discord was i guess discovered maybe a millenia away or during dinosaur ages but what if he was created or his first appearance was in limbo-? When star swirl opening the gatway to limbo to trap the pony of shadows maybe discord came back. We also know discord travels to a different universe sometimes (exaggeration) like the galaxy no gravity looking one where he lives so maybe after he escapes limbo he goes there or its possible hes impersonating other villians. Keep in mind he can double himself.

From this video I theorize Discord was made by Grogar. Discord was Grogar's ace card for create chaos to his enemies to make the conquer easier for him.
Also forgot to mention Discord is literal chaos beings. So Discord vanished if he didn't create chaos. Grogar made it like that to make sure Discord will doing his job properly.
