  • I'm starting a new segment called the "Versus Series". In this new series, I pit 2 products against each other, talk about the characteristics of each one, and decide which one I like better. On this first edition, I'm taking a look at the new Prince ATS Tour 100 and the 100P. Which do I like better? Let's find out.

    Thanks for the review. The 100 is less maneuverable than the 100P. It also has a higher vibration frequency.

    What string, gauge, and tension would you recommend for the 100 (16x18)?

    it's nice to see a tennis review from someone actually playing points and showing their ability rather than just some knockaround hitting

      Thank you. Just knock around hitting is pretty boring for me so I mostly play actual points.

      @@opencourt808 i think some of these youtube tennis players are a bit afraid to show what their real level looks like too

      I have the 2015 Tour 100P and had the 2019 Tour 100 310. Sold the 310 it has too stiff, nice spin and easy penetration though, but on long matches I felt arm tenderness. The 100P 2015, much lower launch angle, but buttery feel. I keep it to play with guys with big servers, its ability to absorb kinetic energy of the high pace serves makes it look like you're cheating, also since the release of Solinco Confidential I found the perfect poly for it. My setups; Tour 310 2019: Dunlop Black Widow 16g at 53lbs, Tour 100P 2015: Confidential 17g at 53lbs.

      @@jlparcerisa Thanks. I still play the 2019 100 310. Its best for me currently. The 100P 2019 is good for me also, but maybe confidential might work better.

    Hi i AM playing with a extreme mp (with leather) right now i really like it but somethimes i strugle with control specially when i cant accelerate well or i hit flat winners. Would You recommend the 290 and add weight or the 100p?

    • @opencourt808
      @opencourt808  7 месяцев назад

      If you are looking for more control, I would recommend the 100P because of the tighter string pattern. However, it is heavier so you would have to be able to handle the weight.

    Hi. Would you make a comparison review between the gravity tour and the 100p ?

    • @akbarberlian
      @akbarberlian Год назад +1

      They’re not that similar. Gravity is more for baseliner since balance point is very different

    Adding weight to the grip will not make any racket swing faster ☝🏻... you can't reduce the swingweight by adding weight to a racket.

    100p has 6 strings in throat so it's not a tight 18x20...its an open 18x20...measure distance between the middle 8 strings on your speed pro and the 100p please if you can...I'm building a data base of 18x20 rackets which is dieing out in states

      Aloha,
      Here's the spacing for the center 8 strings for the Prince ATS Tour 100P.
      LM=Left Main & RM=Right Main
      1LM/1RM - 13/32" (center)
      1RM/2RM - 7/16" (same on the left side)
      2RM/3RM - 7/16" (same on the left side)
      3RM/4RM - 7/16" (same on the left side)

      I would probably recommend a 16g because the pattern is quite open. As for string and tension, I can't really say without knowing your preferences or if you have a healthy arm.
