      The TXT2 is just a little bit more stable and powerful, but they play very similar

    • @charlesliu1936
      @charlesliu1936 3 года назад

      @@2ndAveScents I think the Twaron makes the 2019 version have similar comfort and feel even though it is stiffer, and then the stiffness provides stability.

      @jlparcerisa 3 года назад

      @@charlesliu1936 I had the 2015 version and I currently use the 2019 version, confort is great in both. The weight went up to 310, but the balance is more towards the handle, and string pattern is 16x18, much more open. Power is up a bit, control is still there (despite the open pattern), but spin is much, much higher

      @@jlparcerisa Actually you went to a different racquet as evidenced by the different string pattern and weight. If you wanted the newest version, that would still be the Textreme Tour 100p V2. Same weight, same string pattern, but with twaron and a little more stiffness and swingweight.

    The recent 97p is the best imo. I have Blade Pro 16x19, Blade V7 18x20, Pure Strike 18x20, Ezone 98 2020, Pro Staff, and now I've switched to the Prince 97p. 320g unstrung perfect weight with its headlight balance and the 58 RA drops a little after stringing it so it is so flexy in the throat of the racket.

    • @sandroferrini
      @sandroferrini 3 года назад

      The TXT2 has been reinforced at 2 and 10, that’s why it has more stiffness. The TXT has slightly more feeling, the TXT2 slightly more stability and power. I have been playing with Head tgk 263.2 for years (it’s the pro stock code of the yutek speed pro) and the Prince plays similar to me, better feeling, very good amount of spin for a 18x20. Head hawk touch my reference string, but I’m now trying Prince XR, Gamma Moto 17 could be good too

      Textreme was developed in Sweden about a decade ago and is a special ultra light form of carbon fibre that can be woven in different directions. I belief it is used in Formula 1 racing cars and various other applications. It has been successful in Stiga table tennis blades (made in Sweden), which I can testify. However, I don't think I would my racquet to the Prince.

    Are you sure about your spec. numbers? Those are the specs of the V2. You have the V1 in your hands, which I own. Of the many racquets I demoed it was my favorite by a large margin - and I tried most of the big 3s racquet lineups including Wilson (Pro Staff, Blade, Ultra), Head (Prestige, Speed, Radical), and Babolat (Strike, Aero, Drive). I also tried Yonex's Ezone 98. The Prince Textreme Tour 100p had the best "feel" by far (compare that to the brassy feel of the Babolats and the Head Radical with graphene), and it was super maneuverable (being head light - huge difference from the Wilson Blades). The 18x20 string pattern gives it great control, but it still has some power and spin due to being a 100 sq. inch.
    The racquet is definitely a best in class racquet.

    I play with this racquet and I really like it. For me, 55 lbs with a poly string is way too much with this racquet. I string at 47 lbs with for example Head Lynx or Babolat RPM Team. With a multi, I string at 52 lbs. I have 2.5 grams of lead tape at each side (3 and 9 o'clock) which improves stability a little.

      Asked the same thing on tw review for this racquet (compared to gravity tour). Here's the answer:
      Tennis Warehouse
      This one packs a bit more power, and feels a bit more firm, and crisp. The Gravity Tour is a bit more control oriented, and a bit more comfortable. Spin is pretty close between the two, but the strings seem to be slightly more spaced on this one for a bit more spin. Troy, TW

    The most disappointing review from you. Sorry. I have both this racket (2015, hardly heyday of Prince) and the 2019 version. You strung it at 55lb. Prince recommends 45-55. The highest tension is for softer strings (I have Wilson NXT at 55 in this racket now and even for that, it's too high - no power), for polys, I usually strung at 45-48. With that 18x20 string pattern, you need Nadal or somebody of that physic to produce enough power with the Confidential. You didn't even bother to measure the weight and swing weight. And even got the wrong quote as those are for the 2019 version. This is RA62 and SW 321. You can just google it. This racket's number one selling point is its arm friendliness. I play 8-10 hours a week often on a full bed of poly and no issues at all. Fair enough, this you can't tell in 10 min play. Nevertheless, you either seem to be running out of material or just lazy to do your homework as you did a few months back when I subscribed to the channel.

      What's your string recommendation for this? I'm trying with Vokl cyclone and x one biphase.

    • @deneszoltan2160
      @deneszoltan2160 3 года назад

      @@augustblood6810 I have used around a dozen strings in the TT100P but neither Volkl nor Tecnifibre X-one biphase. Based on what I read about those strings, Volkl at 50-52 lb if you are a hard hitter and 46-48 (or even lower) if you don't hit very hard. The Tecnifibre has more energy return, so perhaps 53-55 lb. But it largely depends on your style of hitting and what you like. ATP and WTA players use anything from mid 30s to mid 60s. I believe that recreational players should not go much over 50 in any racket but especially not in the TT100P which is very flexible and as such low powered. My favourites so far in this racket was Luxilon Alu P at 45lb and Dunlop Explosive Tour also at 45lb.

      @augustblood6810 3 года назад

      @@deneszoltan2160 Thanks very much for the useful information! The 2019 version is a bit stiffer, right, so has a bit more power? I'll definitely look at reducing the tension on the Vokl cyclone but I hit a flatter shot anyway so it's not that much of an issue, and I prefer high tension for the control. However I'm moving to thicker strings which will give more control and stiffness so I can drop tension a bit.

    • @deneszoltan2160
      @deneszoltan2160 3 года назад

      @@augustblood6810 Just experiment. Unless tennis is your living income, it's fun to try different strings and tensions. And yes, the 2019 version is slightly stiffer, has a touch more power (I had them strung with Solinco Hyper-G at 50 lb both) but it is really nothing compared to the difference in stings and tensions.

      I’ve got the 2015 version strung 53/51lb, kirschbaum proline 2. Works for me! Comfortable, solid. Mine is headlight, part of the reason I got, though I added some weight bit, stock works equally well. I have a Gravity Tour, which is similar but more hollow feeling, not as classic, and more head heavy (higher sw).
