The David Bromberg Band was one of my favorite live acts. They brought the house down everywhere they played. Superb musicianship, great arrangements, great song selection and most of all they had BIG FUN doing it.
David Bromberg is one of the very first memories I have of music. My dad bought My Own House in 1978. I was 3. It's pretty much worn out but I've still got it.
this man knows the blues ! check out "How Late Will Ya' play 'Til" ( his live album ) for extended versions of many classics from this talented musician
On February 2, 1975, I caught David Bromberg at the Capitol Theatre. He was great, as was the other "opening" act, Tom Rush. The featured artist that night was Linda Ronstadt, whose encore was "Heat Wave" on an evening when it was 11 degrees outside in downtown Passaic, NJ.
Bromberg at the 'Bottom Line" in NYC every Valentine's Day during the late 70's early 80's was always the best show of the year.

Love this guy. Great voice, guitar. All of it. Wish my life had been as focused in 1976, though I was trying.
I just live for that last bit of acapella Throw down!
Man this brings back memories! I really enjoyed these times.
.....an American Treasure
I envy Americans so much. So much talent to be seen. And in little venues. It must be amazing.
This is the version I love and meant to send
