I know the reviews are real -- the comments on Roscoe's are spot on. I always thought Roscoe's was overpriced and overrated.
But their sweet tea is amazing
Back in the day when all of the Roscoe's were black-owned and had all black cooks and waitresses, it was phenomenal. You went there for the chicken and waffles and the "sassy" waitresses. Things change when you have different cooks. The seasonings change. The La Brea and the Pico locations were the spots after a concert or clubbing all night. Sorry to hear and see it has fallen off. Next time I am home, I have to go to the Slauson mall and try the chicken, and also make that trip to Le Coupe. Thanks LATRYGUY!

I'm not gone lie... I haven't eaten chicken in 6+ yrs.. But when i did... KRUNCHY chicken was the BOMB!!!!!! Bomb sides and biscuits... That chicken hit... Hands down... Especially that Slauson location!!!

All the Amgelinos are spot on. Its so sad that Roscos was the certified spot. It was not a tourist trap. The chicken was soo flavorful and the waffles to die for. Somebody said Golden bird and Louisiana chix...my God today I miss them. Im born in raised in LA but have lived in the south for 17 years. Safety alert please stop riding in red benz some of the area you go to including the slauson swapmeet just are not safe. Please keep your head on a swivel while your having fun and dont wear red or blue in LA.

Ain’t no Slauson super mall, true “Angelino’s” don’t ever call it the super mall. lol And it’s the spot for all type of “activity “…you might find your new boo,or temporary boo there , maybe some kicks that may be knock offs, might find a problem up there depending on a lot of things and you may find yourself some tshirts and some shorts or something. Mainly you’ll find people just shopping and enjoying themselves though. This is the swap meet most have either been too or still frequent for incense or some oil burners and whatnot..some oil products period ,weird toys for the kids etc. lol

I could tell the furst one there chicken wasnt that good. The second looked on point and the last the lines always speak for themselves. Whenever theres long lines or things selling out quick, that leta you know everything about it.

So glad to hear somebody finally admit roscoes is NOT all that. Has to be one of the most overrated places ever. I'm born and raised in LA and have been to all of them for decades and it is so overhyped. It's basically a tourist trap at this point.

The Chicken Spot in Las Vegas on Lamb is as you say ~Certified~ I got a couple of chicken thighs and was blown away!!! Best fried chicken that I have tasted in years!!! Only thing else I had was the blueberry lemonade Kool aide pickle and it was good.

Because the breast and thighs are thicker cuts of meat they probably do brine or marinate them seperately so they will cook up more flavorful and the wings and drums they probably cook to order as they are smaller cuts of meat and don’t take that long to fry up

Thank you for being real and honest about roscoes. The chicken is no better than anything I can cook at home. I Love Chicken and Waffles in San Bernardino is black owned and has better fried chicken and the price is very good, but as usual there's too much salt. Krispy Crunchy is just a franchise that can be found in gas stations. I personally like Pollo Campero fried chicken the most, they have a unique seasoning blend. It's a Guatemalan franchise.
