Thanks for the kind feedback Garry. Really appreciate that. In hindsight I think I was being a bit optimistic trying to hit it off the deck, but off the tee, WOW! Great scores 👍🏼👍🏼
I’m normally in the 90’s but have have also had my 2 lowest rounds since using the mini driver (both 83’s). It’s not for everyone but definitely has helped my game.
Enlightening as ever, Paul. A really polished episode this week. Sound was spot on. I think I'd struggle with that club off the deck too. Head looks massive compared to your fairway wood.
Thank you Kev. Really appreciate the feedback. Couldn’t believe it off the tee, but just couldn’t handle it off the deck. The retro looks with the steel face also out me off Serious piece of kit thought, but at a serious price tag Filming in St Andrews next week. Cannot wait my friend 👍👍 take care
Thanks for the great review. I am waiting for my Mini driver to arrive. I feel like this is "THE CLUB" for me. I can hit the driver far but not consistent with my swing with the longer shaft and bigger club head. I hit my 3 wood close to my driver because I am more comfortable with the shorter shaft and smaller head. I figure this club can go beside my Driver or possibly replace my driver, which is a scary thing to say. If i can hit same distance as my driver and hit more fairways, this WILL be my new driver!
OK, I'm a little late to this review but damn I want one! I hit my 3 wood about 260 carry with 107 club speed but I can't hit a driver good at all. It feels like swinging a football on the end of a stick. I want to try a mini driver (actually they are a 2 wood) so I can hit something a bit further off the tee.
Hi better late than never. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. The mini driver is great however I think if I had one I’d only use it off the tee and then play maybe a 5 wood for long shots off the deck 👍🏼
Set an at 11.5 This club is strictly a driver replacement. If you wanted something that could replace the Three wood you need to go with the higher loft option. I think the majority of golfers with struggle with an 11.5° Three wood regardless of head size.
It's a Mini Driver , clearly not a 3 wood for off the turf. All the testers seem to like it a lot off the tee. I think mid cappers would hit many more fairways with these. I like it because I do not like hitting up on the ball on tee shots.
Hi Bill. I completely agree. Taylormade are marketing it as a club you can game off the tee and the fairway, but I agree with you, even if this was the 13 degree model it would still be hard to control off the deck given the head size.
I didn't like the shaft. But that is an easy fix. Just get another shaft that suits me better. Standard shaft is uncontrollable for me. Too whippy and loose. I slowed down the club head speed and I got it to draw. Otherwise the ball went right every time.

Great review I'm gaming the 300 and love it! Finding more fairways and shot my two lowest scores with it 79 and 77 .

No problem off the deck
Low flight path, but gets out further than my 3 wood.
Easy to hit
Enjoyable review on the driver. Great shout out to the greenkeepers :-) Course did look lovely, even at 6.30 in the morning!
Thanks Tracey. It’s always a privilege to play at Fulford, even when it’s before breakfast 😂
My 300 mini just arrived so I'm very excited to give it a go!
I own the SLDR mini and the Aero Burner mini! 🐊🏌🦅🇵🇷👍

The 11.5 off the deck is extremely difficult. I have the 13.5 and it works nicely off the deck with a respectable lie.
Great point you make Erik 👍🏼. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment

The sleeve gives 2deg adjustment. so he could have set this up from 9.5 to 13.5 but did not bother to try that.
A good review. Thanks
Thanks for the feedback Algeron, what balls do you play?
@@GolfShow I'm not too fussy. Any multi-layered in the season but a good quality 2-piece in the Winter is fine.
I wonder if it’s better than something like a R580 / R540 / R510 which are around the same size.
Hi Rob. I think it is, however I just think it’s a bit expensive. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Cheers Paul

I think if it’s standard loft was 15 I’d give it a go. But I wouldn’t loft up as it would then be likely to go left on me. Shame.
I’m with you on that Alan. Thanks for the comment 👍

Off the deck you need 13-15 degree loft
Yep completely agree. Thank for the feedback. 👍🏼
They are tough to hit off the deck.I use my 11.5 only off the tee and it's a monster!
