    Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that one part of the video in the middle was cut (does not show how to end row 2/start row 3). So here are the directions, R2: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first sc, 1 sc in next 1-ch sp, *ch 1, 1 sc in next 1-ch sp; rep from * to last sc, 1 sc in last sc. R3: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first sc, *ch 1, 1 sc in next 1-ch sp; rep from * to last 2 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in last sc. Then continue the video for the pattern. 😊

    I got confused because u were doing row 2 and at the end you say it the end of row 3 so how do you do row 3

      Hi there, yeah for some reason the video was cut during that part. In the comment on top I explain how to do row 3. I also have the directions on my website. The link for that is in the description box below.

    This video shows the start of row two but finishes the end of row 3. It does not show the end of row 2 or how to make row three at all. It looks like a good pattern so I would like to know how to do row three. Thanks

      Hi there, thank you for letting me know. I just checked as well and that whole section seems to be missing. So for row 2, you want to R2: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first sc, 1 sc in next 1-ch sp, *ch 1, 1 sc in next 1-ch sp; rep from * to last sc, 1 sc in last sc and then for row 3, you want to R3: ch 1, turn, 1 sc in first sc, *ch 1, 1 sc in next 1-ch sp; rep from * to last 2 sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in last sc.

    @JewelsandJones what is the width of the 20 starting chains. I am using a 6mm hook not 10mm anc wondering how many extra chains to do? Thank you. Sarah 🧶

    • @JewelsandJones
      @JewelsandJones  7 месяцев назад

      Hi there, I would recommend making a gauge swatch if you're using a different hook. This way you get the exact amount of chains and rows when making the pattern. 😊🧶

    • @sarahc855
      @sarahc855 7 месяцев назад

      @JewelsandJones thank you. Can I check did you use yarn for a 6mm hook (chunky) but made the scarf with a 10mm hook? If so I will just ignore the hook size on the yarn and use a bigger hook.

      Hi there, somehow this part of the video was cut when I was editing it and I did not catch it until it was uploaded. In the comment section, there is a note from me on how to finish row 2 and start row 3. If you would like, you can always take a look at the blog post as well (link in description bar) it has the full directions for the pattern. 😊

    Hi! I've started the scarf over several times. I can't seem to get the sides straight. I'm new to crocheting, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    • @JewelsandJones
      @JewelsandJones  Год назад

      Hi there, you're definitely not doing anything wrong. I've been crocheting for a couple of years now and this happens to me too with this stitch. So with this stitch, you want to make sure to keep your tension on the looser side. I also find it helpful to put stitch markers on the last stitch of the row. This way I know where to put my stitches. I hope this helps. Good luck! 😊

    • @JewelsandJones
      @JewelsandJones  Год назад +1

      Also, you might find it helpful to go up one hook size. Single crochet stitches can be pretty tight, so this might help straighten the sides as well.

    • @JewelsandJones
      @JewelsandJones  Год назад +1

      Hi there, thank you. I would recommend adding a few more rows to the pattern. 😊Since the pattern is made in rows, you could always add more rows to add more length.
