  • In this tutorial, I show you how to crochet the Interlocking Rows Stitch. This stitch is an easy peasy two-row repeat which looks far more complicated than it is - the crochet Interlocking Stitch is reversible and fantastic for squishy scarves or blankets or potholders!
    You can make this stitch to crochet a scarf that a man can wear. Even a woman can wear it but I personally feel that it has a masculine feel to it. It's super easy and fast to crochet. Great as a Gift for your Hubby / Grandpa or any Man of your Life.

    • @HopefulTurns
      @HopefulTurns  3 года назад +3

      Thank you, happy to know that you liked the pattern. As for the rows I didn't count the rows, it was about 62 inches. You actually need not count the rows, just try it around the neck the way you want to wear and once you are happy with the length, you can stop it.

      I would love to make a scarf with this stitch. It is unclear to me if my beginning chain is the length or the width of the scarf. Also, how many chains did you begin with and how many rows did you do? I am used to tutorials that give that information. My father asked me to make him a scarf that will match his new winter coat. I really like this stitch. Thank you.

    • @sheetaltyagi4130
      @sheetaltyagi4130 3 года назад +3

      @@janaschuster1302 i begin with 28 or 30 chains. Length i decides by wrapped around neck. Counting rows i feel difficult.
      It must b around 60-65 inches for men.

    • @HopefulTurns
      @HopefulTurns  3 года назад +2

      Hi Jana, so glad to know that you liked the stitch. About the pattern, the starting chain stitch is the width of scarf. Then you continue to make rows, till you reach the desired length. At present I don't have the scarf with me, and I totally forgot the chain stitch I put. But I suggest you make the starting chain stitch for the width of the scarf you want it to be and go on making rows till you are happy with the length. The length and width totally depends on the person you want to make and the way they want to wrap it around.

    Kinda hard to see what you are doing. The work is low on the screen. Maybe point to the area you are going into with your hook and hold it close to the camera for about 7 seconds, keeping it still for 7 seconds, so we can clearly see the area you are going into. It is a beautiful stitch.

      This is not exactly the Moss stitch, but kind of similar to it. There are slight differences which make this stitch a little more textured.

    Difficult to see exactly where to insert hook for double crochet. Is this a demonstration or a teaching lesson? I thought it was to be a lesson.
