Thanks for featuring us Ben! I appreciate it a ton! Super cool to be featured alongside other great options!
Where are you located I live in Tampa and there's no listing of your business whatsoever do you have an address or a phone number because nothing comes up when I search for you?
How do I see y'all's offerings?
@@Razorback_Tactics I found them on Facebook and messaged there.

Porting just works! I think the people bashing have just never tried it. I have fired in darkness and was never blinded. I have fired ported J-frames from inside jacket pockets and there was no fire to my clothing. Anything that helps mitigate recoil and increases followup shots is worth having. Porting has come a long way. I am an old head used to magnaporting and Glock 19c's. The stuff coming out now is very impressive but also very expensive. Thanks for your video
I go back and forth on the reliability. My Glocks with ports and lighter springs have to be cleaned and lubed eventually (1500 rounds) whereas my nonported ones never. Also there is very weak ejection with light ammo with ports. Is that minor decrease in the reliable operational window worth it. People can make that choice for themselves
I have never experienced what you are saying. Factory springs and same old Glock reliability, even with frangible ammo.
I have a G34 with Legion Precision porting. Thing shoots like a dream.
Well done. I’m a huge fan of the MT Lucky 7’s as well. The most expensive and lead times are long but worth it. Always wanted to compare to their Ghengis comp. 🤘
I also have a 7 port done, just like the MT, but done local to me in Philly at Printz F ireA rms. Totally changed the handling of my 5" Prodigy. Amazing
Sent my echelon slide out to get ported can’t wait for it to come back feels like forever!
Porting absolutely is effective. If it wasn’t I don’t think Glock would’ve sold their “C” model guns, or smith and wesson with some of their performance center guns.
Ports are a part of my religion. I prefer a lighter rsa personally but they are not required as you stated. I find they cycle better and lock back more reliably for me even with my high grip.
Ahh yes! Good to see you here my friend. You are a connoisseur of the port.
Love the video first timer here. Been waiting on a video like this to hit my feed, going to port my Sabre Dagger
We know a guy....
I’m on the wait list with Monsoon Tactical to get lucky 7’s porting on my Echelon and Staccato P. Can’t wait
Worth the wait.
PORT EVERYTHING!! Thinking about porting my Axg legion I wonder how that will be with it already being comped?
If done correctly can help even more with reduction!
Nice video. Some of what you said reminds me of a video I made a while back.
What’s the name of the video? I’ll check it out.
I used Tampa gun werxs my oz9 was really flat, I would get your stuff done asap , when I sent mine in the turn around was 4-5 it doubled in a week so I expect it to keep getting longer and longer
I wish arc would've kept the bronze barrels
Yes
1:30 I would describe it as, it returns, your gun to the original point of them sooner. Vs “flat “
Good way of putting it.
3:25 "Does a longer barrel help ports? - a longer allows more gasses to build up"
The amount of gas generated from any given round is going to be identical, even if you have a 0in barrel. However, the further the ports are down toward the end of a barrel will allow better velocity because the gasses have had more time to expand. A longer barrel would accomplish distancing the ports
I need to try out ports one of these days, maybe on the Staccato P. I have micro comps from PMM and Radian and have been extremely happy with them. Thanks for the info!
Miss ya man.
@@wisemencompany you too man!
From our testing, something like our K9 Ports perfom better than Comps.
@@TampagunwerxCan you share how you test them? I’m starting to test different porting styles using a ransom rest and measuring angle of climb to collect actual data that seems to be missing from the industry.
Longer barrel should help with ports just because it’s a more advantageous lever.
Thanks,B
Great video. Super torn between Luck7’s or RamJet for my g45.
Lucky 7’s.
Thanks for the info!
Would be cool to have the prices included on each of the different options
I am curious about combining porting with a comp on the end. Tier1concealed talked about it in one of their videos, but I’m more concerned about the point of diminishing returns when it comes to porting VS comps, or combining the two, especially with the ramjet. If you comp a gun and then have it ported too, but you run hotter ammo like nato pressure 124 grain as your standard training ammo to take advantage of the extra pressure and gas, at what point is it going to be detrimental or overcompensating? If we’re chasing the dragon of recoil elimination in handguns, we might as well rule out all the possibilities right?
6:58 - ive seen guntubers sacrifice their face and arms, shooting ported guns from retention. It is definitely not just gas expelled. Shards of copper jacket and lead are ejected and can be deeply embedded in your skin.
Nightwood Guns channel fired many different types of ports, including ports created via EDM, and those still ejected shrapne - shown on video
Im not saying dont carry ported guns, just be aware that in close retention firing, it can potentially permanently blind you (id not be concerned with small shrapnel hitting your arms in a self defense use, just the eyes)
I run a ZEV OZ9C with a ramjet, tungsten guide road and 15 lb spring. Nice and flat with great return to zero. After a lot of testing with spring rates from 13 - 18 I settled on 15. Been thinking about Lucky 7 or DSC V8 for my Staccato P but haven’t decided. Any experience between the 2 port styles? It’s steel frame and doesn’t really need it but it’s fun to play.
No experience.
NCEngravers do awesome ports also
I'll second that. They ported a Canik SFT for me. Was surprised how much of a difference it makes. They do it slightly different than most with the curved / slanted horizontal cuts.
I liked comps but I’ve gravitated to porting instead. Less issues with logistics.
I agree
I see your green g19 slide is a TradeCraft Armament.
I have the very same cut with the included 10 hole porting.
Is there any reason you went away from that?
I want to see ported with a comp
Does monsoon back bore their ports too?
I personally love my arc division.
Would have been awesome to see the comparison including AlphaDog where the ports are cut on the right and left sides of the slide allowing you to better focus on the rise and fall of your dot!
Cuts made laterally have almost no benefits. Even when talking about V ports. There are significantly more benefits to inline top ports that essentially anything else!
I would know that run anywhere 🥰🥰😂😂
I have a Glock 19C and XMacro and they are pretty legit for a factory guns!
@mikejaan66 do you prefer one over the other ?
My 19C has a stipple and accelerator cuts it runs so flat! I’d pick it over the macro.
3:30 what spring weight do you have going on for your mac defense porting package?
Stock spring.
What’s your thoughts on the Glock 19c? Is it a worthy option?
It’s a fine gun but the ports are not as effective as any of these in the video.
Is either of the monsoon tactical slides nitride coated. I’m concerned that cerakote won’t hold up to edc.
No. What is your concern if the cerakote doesn’t hold up?
@@wisemencompany just would rather not have to re cerakote it every 2 years or so.
And you prefer the SRO as well?
yes.
Is it laser cut or EDM?
Same same
In your experience, how does a ported G34 shoot compared to a comped G19? By comped I mean "really" comped (KKM, PMM Ultra, 417 dual port, etc.)
I've got this wild idea in my head that a ported G34 would shoot 95% as well as a comped G19 without the reduction in reliability envelope.
I would always choose a ported pistol over a comp’d. I don’t think comps are bad at keeping the gun level but I have had reliability issues with them.
Do you recommend three or five ports from Mac defense on a Glock 34?
depends on your barrel length.
I live in Tampa florida, I just did a search for Tampa Gun Works in absolutely nothing comes up, what is the actual name of the place you were talking about? Is it even in tampa? Cuz it's not called Tampa Gun Works
Is Tampa gun werx
Port or die
A want my g.
Ramjet beats the ARC slide.
I would agree.
I thought this was going to be about drinking Port wine…
That’s next video.
WOW!!!…. I really am spoiled apparently Lol my guy is 1-3 days for porting with 1 cerekote color finish. I drop it off on Friday and pick it up Monday morning 🤷♂️ haha YES!!! He’s a licensed machine shop, not billy Bob with a drill press Lol 😂👍 the catch is, he ONLY does 3 brands and refuses to do ANYTHING “adventurous” 😢
I noticed your guns aren’t locking back when empty
Sometimes. Magazines are the culprit. Just worn out springs.
verified historical fact: The hk vp70 had multiple ports within the first 2 inches of barrel which lowered velocity to subsonic, approximattely 380 velocities. the HK mp5ks had ports within 2 inches of barrel to reduce velocity to subsonic, apprximately .380 velocities
apparently uneducated, schizoid ramblings: if you put ports close to the chamber in your barrels you'll lose significant velocity.
i'll take ports after the 3.5" mark and not a mm before, than you
Gamer nonsense that guy's who use these in a martial sense totally ignore.
Go play with your little toy little boy.
