Save your breath. Quarterback is the key. Another show broke it down perfectly. The remaining playoff teams are Mahomes, Jackson, Stroud, and Allen. If your QB can't compete with them or you don't have a super elite turnover machine defense, then you have no shot. No coach in modern football can overcome that handicap based on today's rules.

Tomlin isn't going anywhere. The Steelers have lost their "Identity" though. They have been lost since the Whisenhut & Arian eras. After them with Haley & Fitcher which in reality was Roethlisberger calling the plays from the line. Last with Canada, that was a joke. I like the old days when we had an identity of pounding it with the BUS and Ben only throwing 20 times a game and having a "Blitzbergh" Defense. These past few years have been a wondering lost. Mr. Rooney needs to decide what identity he wants his team to have and then let the Managers & Coaches deliver.

And got to actually throwing the ball down field. Just build on that. Keep using Harris, and Warren, both on the field together, and or rotation, that will tire a D.

Steelers fan for over 40 years. Tomlin is a great coach. He's 39-31 without Big Ben lifetime, including 2 straight winning seasons and a playoff berth since Ben retired. This after all of the "smart" Steelers fans predicted he would be "exposed" after Ben retired. Uh no, that's Bellichik without Brady (who has now had 7 of his 9 seasons without Brady be LOSING ones - remember the Cleveland yrs boys).
Pittsburgh's problem is they HAVE NO FRANCHISE level QB on the roster currently. They can never draft high because Tomlin ALWAYS wins (unlike Cowher who had 3 losing seasons in a 6 yr span). And the Rooney's have bever been big spenders in free agency generally. Plus Tomlin has to deal with a GM. He can't just do whatever he wants.
And anyone who thinks Rudolph is the long term answer....you will be the one being exposed over time- for being dumb enough to believe that in the first place.
The Steelers have to get a QB, but the idea that Tomlin is the problem is completely asinine. The fact that he led them to 10 wins and a playoff berth with this roster is a small miracle.

    • @chucklourimore8170

Losing to the likes of Blake bortles and Baker Mayfield?
Pissing away a dynasty and running it into the ground with a HoF QB?
Backing into the playoffs and losing badly in the first round? Getting outscored 66-0 in the first quarter in yet past 5 playoff games?
      You love THAT?
      WHAT A TOOL

I'm hanging up my Non-Losing Seasons banner up in my living room before I watch the Divisional Round this weekend. I can't wait to lose to the Texans 38-13 in the Wildcard Round in 2026!

Keeping Tomlin and expecting things to change is like expecting a grandfather to honestly criticize his grandchild at the school play.
All the players say they love him but nobody gives a football related example.

Of course he does, people like snoop and nfl media in general have to back up the Rooney rule. They like to say well he’s never had a losing season! Well that maybe true but he’s only won the division 4 times in the last ten years, so technically you lose the division, he’s below 500 overall in the playoffs and is 3-9 in his last 12 playoff games. Ouch! He inherited a championship football team, and coaching staff and won a Super Bowl with cowhers team and staff, that is a fact. Ever since he played with the staff and started letting players go, the team has went south.

Watt does not want to play for another Coach because he wants to finish his career rushing the passer 100 % of the time as a linebacker.

You realize with Kenny one read Pickett Steelers were outgained in yards by opposing team every game? You do realize Kenny one read Pickett throws for about 150 yards per game and 1 touchdown max per game? It was the defense that won those games and playing inferior teams!!! Kenny only sees his first read and does not get the ball to open receivers!! Mason Rudolph does!! Tomlin and Steelers management somehow want Kenny one read Pickett!! That is not solid!! That is absolute garbage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snoop tell'n it like it is, We the Steelers, 3 coaches over 6 Superbowl wins.
    Knoll 23yrs, Cowher 15, Tomlin 17(+).
Know that even if they did replace him, that candidate knows and you fans should know that they're in for long haul with the Steelers.
    To steal from the Pirates.
    "We are Family"
Go listen to the all the 70's players Steeler hall of Fame inductions.
You'll find that everyone of them states that they would not have achieved greatness without their great teammates.
    Coaches and Rooney as well.
    Without Family.
Franco Harris damn near names every teammate.
We have our own wing in Canton and Mike will be there someday too.
How many teams can say for 17yrs(more like 11yrs) you can't count us out ?

Thank you Snoop. I 1000000% agree.
Art destroyed the team by firing Arians. Tomlin couldn't recover, it's unfair.
Khan needs to step in and fire the CURRENT assistant offensive head coach and replace him with Byron Leftwich. Then have Leftwich work with the CURRENT COORDINATORS on strategy and add AGGRESSIVE PASS PLAYS.
Byron worked under Arians AND Brady, so he knows wassup. He also was OC at Arizona when they had a top running team.

The Steelers are perpetually not good enough to do anything in the post season, but not bad enough to get high draft picks. The worst of both worlds.
