I went and saw the show on Friday for Return of the King. I went in expecting the Soundtrack to be played. When "NEW LINE CINEMA" came up, I absolutely lost it. This was so fantastic. I wish I went to this and FOTR. Just fantastic. To the point where I couldn't tell the music was being played live. We have some great local talent :D
One of my regrets being American is that, if I were to go to one of these shows, our audiences will not shut up and LISTEN, but insist on clapping every time something remotely exciting happens. I've seen enough clips... clapping when they're surrounded by goblins and the music stops, clapping when they escape the stairs, clapping when the Balrog falls, when Shadowfax appears, when Rohan charges, when the dead army charges, when Barad-dur collapses, when Sauron is defeated by Isildur, etc. It's maddening. THIS is my kind of audience.
People complaining if the audience clap or not at these performances. Men, I live in Venezuela and here people fuc$ TALK in the theater during a movie. They talk like they were at their homes watching a movie on TV or like they were the only ones in the room. And it isn't only young people, adults and old people do it as well. It doesn't matter how many people ask them to shut the fu%# up, it doesn't matter if you yell at them, maybe it will work for a few minutes, but they will start talking to each other again and laughing and commenting the movie out loud. Im seriously considering that the next time that there is a movie that i really want to enjoy, i will have to buy all the tickets to the movie so i can see it decently. I wish people clapping at the end of a exciting scene with a live orchestra was the problem.
It has already come and gone (if you are talking about the Sydney one) I'm sure there will be one for the Hobbit movies though. But they wont really be the same.
Gandalf is not always easy to understand exact words here and there. You can always check the script online. He says "Fly you fools" as this is just a repeat of what he tells them a few moments earlier when we first see the Balrog creature..."Over the bridge, fly". What a great reproduction. Lucky you for seeing this!
That has to be the most epic first 5 minutes in cinematic history
3:16. The Angels acclaim Olorin's decision to destroy a remnant follower of Morgoth.

I wish the pandemic was over so I could see this live.

The subtitles have Gandalf saying 'fly you fools'. I keep watching it and I'm certain-as I suspected- it's 'run you fools'.
I always heard " folly , you fools.. definitely two syllables ..
