I appreciate this video. I'm new to crawling and have only been doing it for a few months. I'm proud to say I have already added all of these things to my set up so I must be doing so thing right. Lol. I also have good work light and a rig stand that can also hold my shocks. Both are a must have
Awesome man! Congrats on retirement! Honestly a good place to start would be an element enduro, or an axial scx10.2, or a vanquish Phoenix and modifying as you go 👍🏼 servo , tires, and wheels first 👍🏼
Congratulations on retirement, so I am closer to your age and I went to my local hobby shop got set up with a element builders kit 2 and they were super helpful in helping me put a complete custom truck together and the cost stayed reasonable and I upgraded as I broke things or just needed something new. I have several other brands now of it’s but find the element stuff very enjoyable and easy to upgrade, the rock pirates stuff is amazing and I don’t think I have a truck with out something from them. Good luck and have fun.
Great video and channel all round.. only started getting into RC crawlers and trail trucks recently. Thank you for passing on your wealth of knowledge. I’m a Toolmaker/Machinist so appreciate the quality of the parts you produce for the hobby 🤙🏻
@rockpiratesrc3828 AWESOME I have the Phoenix already I also have the Ultra also! I can't wait to start building one! I am a Veteran and also I'm with operation 11charlie thank you guys for all your support 🙏🏻 I live in tulare CA central valley hopefully one of these weekends when you guys are at horsemans center I'll get to crawl with you all thank you so much 👍👊💯🔥🙏🏻
@Rock Pirates RC These days, I've been focusing more on the crawlers. Maybe we could do some business by mail. I'd like to build up my crawlers and am looking for ideas, suggestions, and quality parts. Thanks from Albuquerque, NM.
Can you do a vidio on your element trailwalker build, i got an element enduro HD and am looking for some guidance on what ibneed to do to make it more capable.
I have bought some of the tool's that you mentioned ,where did you get the bit's that fit in your cordless screwdriver? I bought a $30.00 one but none of the bit's from my tool kit's fit it
Will a Kraken Pro chassis kit work with a VS4-10 VFD Twin transmission & skid? Or would I be better off using the Kraken Pro blank Skid with the VS4-10 transmission.
Will any of the rprc chassis compatible with the ascent? I’m new to 10th scale and have the ascent and was gonna slowly turn it into something completely custom. Didn’t know how possible this was with rock pirates stuff. I know the hardline bed will work but I’m more wondering about chassis and other stuff
Question. Will the element ifs kit bolt on to the interceptor flat rail chassis. Want to build a trophy truck. Already have a Gatekeeper and the ifs kit looking for better options the straight axle gatekeeper is wild under heavy power. Electronics are Hobbywing max 10 esc and 4000kv ezrun motor. And a traxxas 2075x servo
I thought about putting my old 2200kv mamba monster on my Scx10ii because my old motor is burnt out but is it even worth making it fast I don’t have any money but I have parts for it but the mamba monster is all I have
I have the new Basecamp. Im very disappointed. Left turn seems a common issue. How can they putnit out knowing this? Its a big investment for a person that work hard for their money. What can i do without spending another paycheck to make it right?
Thanks for sharing. I’m new to the hobby and appreciate your insight and knowledge. Will be ordering from you soon. Thanks.

Thanks for the info it was real informative
Wait an interceptor chassis works with the basecamp parts in it? I didn’t know that. I’m going to order one up asap.

buy MIP tools. a bit spendy but once you use them you will understand. angled tweezers come in handy often too.
Hemostats are a great thing to have for building rcs. Pick up or hold little parts in place
So i have a redcat gen 8 and i want to build i guess something like a flat rail chassis can i use the electronics and other misc. Parts to build one?
Great tips mate, thank you!
Great video! If you have time, keep these coming!
I like the rims on your trucks, where did you buy them from and what is the name of the rims? Thank You
These are SSD wheels 👍🏼

Great tips! Any idea when the rear shock towers in silver will be available for the trx4?
About a weekish
Good list! Do you suggest using thread lock on plastic parts?
Just metal on metal.
No just metal like others have stated 🤙🏻
Thanks
Us new folks need a kit.
Axial 10 pro

Also, the rigs you showed are not a beginners crawler or rtr ,,,, help me out bro
Bro , you said for beginners ,,,, wth is a 10/2 or element ,, please talk for beginners 👍🤔
Axial scx10.2 truck and the element enduro truck 👍🏼

We make scx10iii front shock towers that correct that issue. You would need new body mounts for the front shock towers though.
