🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
The game's story takes place in the final months of the 2-year gap presented in the opening of Jak II (and the aftermath of The Precursor Legacy) and begins by showing Jak being captured by Erol and the Guards, and Daxter's lucky escape. Almost two years later, Daxter is in a bar telling one of his tall tales to a group of men. After almost everyone leaves, an old man listening in on Daxter's story asks him to tell him "the one about how he can knock guards silly with a single blow". The man then introduces himself as Osmo who works for the Kridder Ridder extermination company and asks Daxter if he'd like a job working for him. Daxter refuses but Osmo gives him the job anyway.
After a successful job at the Westside Hotel, Daxter meets Taryn at the construction site and she gives him a spray pack. After completing a few more jobs (including an encounter with a hive queen), Daxter sees Jak in a prison zoomer. He attempts to rescue Jak, but the prison zoomer leads him straight into a group of Krimzon Guards. Luckily, Ximon, Osmo's son, rescues Daxter and explains that there is "something brewing" at a tanker in the port. Witnessing this conversation was Kaeden, the man who had been trying to shut down every Extermination Company in Haven City so the Metal Heads and Metal Bugs could get into the city under the command of Metal Kor, the Metal Head leader.

This implies women can also be Krimson Guards. Like we see Ashlein was allowed to be part of the Krimson Guard so I guess women are allowed to become Krimson Guards yet we never see any basic Krimson Guard soldiers that are female.

One small nitpick: if Daxter™️ was released in 2006, that means it’s a prequel to Jak 2 which means Daxter should already know who Brutter is,
In Jak 2 it’s kinda already implied that Daxter knows who Brutter is because when you rescue the lurkers Brutter immediately calls him “orangey warrior” and gives him a hug and kisses

Been replaying this, jak 1 and 2 and a bunch of other games like Skyrim, Elden ring, and red dead redemption 2 on steam deck. You’re nostalgia blind if you think the PSP is better than the steam deck. Don’t get me wrong the psp was awesome, and still is but just a fact the steam deck wayyyyy is better lol.
Why exactly was Vegar arguing with Erol and not Praxis over the Dark Warrior Programme? Like wasn't Praxis the one who started the whole programme so he's in charge of it not Erol?
I always thought of Erol as Praxis’s right hand man, so he probably gave him some oversight/authority to run the dark warrior program on the side while Praxis was busy doing baron stuff

It’s a great spin off but hard disagree. the mainline games are definitely above this.
Imo Jak 2>Jak 1>Jak 3>Daxter>Jak x. the game that shall not be named doesn’t deserve to be next to the others, and should be forgotten entirely.
