I’ve been an on and off meth head and drug user of all kinds for 20 years. And idk how you showed up in my RUclips feed but I can tell you that I’m a horrible sinner and died twice of fentanyl . Done things I can barely forgive myself for seen things I can’t forget. I cry watching you man cause I get it now. I life my lord and saviour and I’ll never forget or stop watching you for making this switch in my mind. I can’t lie and say I’ll always be perfect cause I’ll take awhile to get on the path and stay true. But I have seen the light and I don’t plan to let it out of my sight.

You can be sober and dead or dead sober. Whatever that means, but you know what I'm saying. But at least you know you're screwing your life up on dope. Trust me when I say I understand your hardship. I'm 53 weeks sober and I was king dope head at one time. Walk with God and keep your hands together in prayer form. Above all else, whatever you do, never ever tell yourself you are a lifer. You can be back in the saddle one day too, my guy. Maybe tomorrow..

@@idontknow2stoned it’s important to remember that our identity in Christ is not defined by our past actions or struggles, but by the transformative work of Jesus in our lives. Here are some encouraging truths for someone who is feeling down and struggling with their past. You have total forgiveness in Christ. Believers are forgiven for all our sins past, present and future. This forgiveness is not based on our ability to be perfect, but on the finished work of Jesus on the cross (Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 2:13-14). God sees us as his beloved children and nothing can separate us from his love (Romans, 838-39). It’s natural to feel regret over passed actions but God‘s grace is greater than our failures. He invites us to live in the freedom and newness of life that He provides. It’s important to remember that perfection is not the goal; rather, it’s about trusting in Jesus and allowing his life to be expressed through us.

I was 9 years old. I asked Jesus in to my heart and told Him I wanted to follow him. It was the most powerful and loving feeling . It was pure and I remember it to this day.
I was a picked on kid in school and Jesus was there with me. I had a profoundly handicapped brother who died at 21. Life has been a hard thing at times. I have made so many mistakes in my 55 years of life. Thank you brother Dewayne! You have been so helpful to me with connecting with our Loving Father.

I'm sooooo grateful i happen to run across you. This message right here? I needed to hear. Unfortunately I drink beer and smoke cigarettes. It's been a struggle. I'm still wrestling with it. God has done so very much for me. It's of course a long story. He's kept me from getting killed, he got me off pills. Just to many to name. I did worry a lot about going to hell. I just finished reading my Bible, then here you are with this message! Amazing how The Lord works! God Bless You and Thank You!

I just wanted to provide a little encouragement by using some scripture and understanding what you’ve written. It’s great that you’re seeking to understand God‘s grace and your identity in Christ. It’s important to remember that you’re struggles with habits like drinking and smoking do not define you or determine your standing with God. Your identity is rooted in Christ, and you are fully forgiven and accepted by Him (Ephesians 1:7). God’s love for you is unconditional, and nothing can separate you from his love (Romans 8:38-39). The fact that you’re wrestling with these habits shows that you desire to live in alignment with your new identity in Christ. It’s also important to remember that fear of hell is not something you need to carry. As a believer in Christ, you are secure in your salvation, and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Your eternal destiny is secure because of what Jesus has done for you. As you continue to grow in your understanding of God‘s grace, allow his love and truth to renew your mind and guide your actions (Roman’s 12:2). you are deeply loved and cherished by God and He is committed to your growth and well-being. Amen.

It took a long time after I was saved for me to understand that when we are born again we have two natures now within us. The old nature that can never do right and a new nature that can never do wrong. Each day you wake up and practically every minute of the day, you are obeying one or the other of those natures. You are not a slave to sin anymore, but you have the power to overcome those temptations, but it can't be done in your strength, but only through the power of the Holy Spirit that lives in you. My husband who is passed away now, used to tell saved people with addictions that they are like a caged animal with the door wide open. They don't realize they have the freedom through Christ to walk right out. Here's a challenge for you. Every time you pick up a bottle of beer or a cigarette, ask yourself do I want to obey the devil, or do I want to obey God? Ask God to take away those desires and make them disgusting. Tell Him you love Him enough to obey Him. Remove The temptations out of your life. Remember that Jesus took your sins, past present and future on Himself on the cross. You are forgiven and you do have His power in you. I'm not preaching at you, but trying to give you some words of encouragement because I know from experience it works! Just know that I am praying for you. God bless you! 💕

He had a big heart, but he had a drug problem and he got clean and some women came in and got him using again the first time he used again he died and what you said is exactly what I needed to hear at that moment because I know my brother was saved Jesus is all he ever talked about, I thank you, praise me, the Lord Jesus Christ for you, sir

I've heard this argument myself when explaining eternal security. They will say, "Well, if you can't lose your salvation, that is like a license to sin!". The opposite is true, once you've been washed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, your overwhelming conviction becomes serving Him and fleeing from sin! Most true born again believers who think they can lose their salvation remain babes in Christ, never moving on to the meat of the Word and growing in their faith. They never get the opportunity to leave the starting block and truly "run the race"! The fear of losing their salvation keeps them forever in the flesh, believing that their day to day performance plus Christ on the cross keeps them saved. This is the opposite of grace. I'm a new subscriber Dwayne, sure enjoy your channel. Thank you for being a faithful steward and contending for the truth of God's Word.

Bro. Dewayne, I had so much hate for my father, because I didn't understand brain damage. He was the only survivor in a car accident, he was in a coma for 3 months. He was fifteen years old at the time of the accident, his sister and her boyfriend died. My dad and mother had 10 children, we were taken away so many times. I was 33 years old in 1985, when I ask God "lf you are real, can you take all the hate and skin crawling feeling l had for my father." God took all the hate out of every nook and cranny of my heart. I was able to drive to his house and ask him if he was saved. He started crying and said yes, he is in heaven now. I will see him again. I have read my Bible everyday since. I was saved in 1974. I was 22 years old. God is so good!!! With God ALL things are possible!!! Thank you, and God bless you mightily Dewayne!!!

Dear sir, I just finished watching all your videos on this channel. I decided I will go again through them all while making notes of all the passages of the Scripture you mentioned there. I was in Christianity and Orthodoxy for more than 10 years, studying the Scripture and the holy fathers literature a lot, but seems that I was off the track for whole this time. Like shut down for truth, but so eager to get it- to understand it, aware that Im still not where I should be, to understand from the heart. Somehow you managed to open this shut door, and help me see what was so obvious but so far from my comprehension. You are a true man of God, modern days prophet, and its not only me to recognize it, so many witnesses to this are here, and out there waiting to receive your messages about the Gospel and Jesus. Thank you, and glory to the Lord who finally had mercy on me to deliver me from my blindness.

It’s important to approach one another with Grace and understanding, recognizing that WE ALL have areas where we struggle. James 3:2 reminds us that WE ALL stumble in many ways, highlighting the universal nature of human imperfection. This awareness should lead us to humility and compassion when interacting with others.
Jesus teaches us to be mindful of our own shortcomings before pointing out those of others. In Matthew 7:3-5, He uses the metaphor of removing the plank from our own eye before addressing the spec in someone else’s. This encourages self reflection and humility, fostering a spirit of empathy and support rather than judgment.
Galatians 6:1-2 advises believers to restore others gently when they are caught in a sin, while also being careful not to fall into temptation themselves.
Ultimately, our identity in Christ is NOT DEFINED by OUR struggles or failures, but by the righteousness we have received through Him 2 Corinthians 5:21. As believers we are called to encourage and build each other up, focusing on the grace and transformation that God is working in each of our lives. By doing so, we can create a community that reflects the love and acceptance of Christ.
Lastly, it’s important to remember that our identity and words are found in Christ, NOT in our ability to perfectly navigate every grey area. As we grow in our relationship with Him, we can TRUST the Holy Spirit to guide us in making decisions that align with His will and reflect his love.

I got into a heated debate with people actually from my church ver this exact thing and the example they kept giving was people they knew who grew up in the church but then backslid and was living a life of sin. I’m like well who gets to decide what is to much back sliding and who gets to decide at what point have they lost their salvation! And I said exactly what you said. People who are that far gone were never saved to begin with and the Bible tells us there will be false converts! I’m so sad this is what the churches have become! These people can recite every scripture and yet know nothing.

Amen Brother Dwayne!!! Every body sins as long as we are in these flesh bodies. Until we receive our new resurrection bodies in Heaven. People have to understand that being a Christian doesn’t mean you will be sinless, but when you come to know and love the LORD you will sin less. Because you Love JESUS. Even bad attitudes can be sinful. Legalism is as much of a sin as license. GOD is always forgiving towards true repentance of the human heart.❤🙏✝️🙌

Thank you for the word today! I have been struggling with siblings that turned on me when both parents passed. They claim to be born again. How can they be so cruel I had just lost my husband 3 months before both parents passed. Now I understand! If I had been so cruel it would have eaten me up and I would have repented. May their eyes be opened and their hearts be softened to know The truth and be set free!

    Brother Dwayne,
As someone who has hosted Bible studies I full well understand your frustration. Everything you have spoken I will testify as truth. The problem these folks have who want to argue is that they want to argue with Jesus but you’re the closest they can get to him.
I would like to welcome you back home to Kentucky. We’re not too far away and it’s my hope that the Lord will allow our paths to cross someday.
Hold your ground, run a good race and may Jesus bless you and yours.
    Thanks

I enjoyed reading your post - it reflects a mature attitude in Christ. I hold to the idea of eternal security - however, I once heard a pastor say there’s a lot of room for disagreement among Christians on various theological issues without affecting one’s salvation or eternal destiny. The core of the Christian faith is centered on the gospel message: the death, burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life to all who believe 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 3:16.
While there are essential beliefs that define Christianity, such as the deity of Christ, his resurrection, and salvation by grace through faith, there are many other areas where Christians may hold differing views. These can include interpretations of end time prophecies, modes of baptism, church, governance, and other doctoral matters.
Romans 14:1-4 encourages believers to accept one another, even when they have differing opinions on disputable matters, emphasizing that we are all accountable to God. Similarly, Ephesians 4:2-3 calls us to be humble, gentle, patient bearing with one another in love and striving to maintain unity in the spirit.
The key is to focus on the essentials of the faith and approach differences with love, grace, and humility. By doing so, we can maintain unity in the body of Christ, while allowing for diversity in nonessential beliefs. Ultimately, our shared faith in Christ and his redemptive work is what unites us and secures our place in eternity with Him. God bless.

Hope I’m not splitting spiritual hairs here - but - In all of Paul’s letters never ONCE does he call believers sinners; he calls them SAINTS . THE one time that he does mention “sinners” was PRIOR to conversion. In fact, Paul calls believers “Saints” 42 times.
It’s true that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. However, it’s important to recognize the transformation that occurs when someone becomes a believer in Christ. We all START as sinners, those who place their faith in Jesus are no longer identified as sinners in the same way. Instead, they are called saints, holy and righteous because of what Christ has done (1 Corinthians 1:2).
As believers, we have been made new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our old self characterized by sin, has been crucified with Christ, and we now live by faith in Him (Galatians 2:20). This doesn’t mean we never sin but our identity is no longer defined by sin. Instead, we are defined by our relationship with Jesus and the righteousness HE has given us.
For unbelievers, their identity remains an Adam, and they are still in need of salvation through faith in Christ. The good news is that salvation is available to all who believe, and God desires for everyone to come to repentance and experience new life in Him (2 Peter 3:9; John 316).
As Believers, we are called to live out our new identity, relying on the Holy Spirit to empower us to walk in the freedom and righteousness that Christ has provided. Our focus should be on growing in grace, and reflecting the love and character of Jesus to the world around us.
