  • The DHD Mini Twin is made for all out summer fun! A shorter and wider version of the Twin Fin, the Mini Twin has a nod towards nostalgia but with a modern twist.

Love that board! Bought it from you guys. But it took me over 30 session to figure it out doh…! It is a high performence twin for shure. I ride mine with Asher Pacey: 5.59" twin fins. Have tried different fins. But I think they are best suited. Has a theory that the fins are already placed quite far back in tail. So it already have the drive. So the upstanding fins are best suited a think. I ride a 5.5"- 28liters & weighs about 70kg. The Aussie made DHD boards are top notch quality to!
    Thank´s guys. Peace out!

Hey, I'm a longboarder trying to get into shortboarding, my current shortboard is too low volume. I'm 5'10 70kg, will the 6'1 37L board stop me progressing once I'm able to get up consistently? Cheers mate

    Hey guys,
how does it compare with the Channel Islands "Twin Fin" or the JS "Black Baron"?
Seems like it's a little less high performance and more of a fish than those two.
    Cheers!! Great review

Hey mate, I would say that it still offers heaps of perfomance but maybe features more of a traditional outline. They generate tonnes of speed and surf realy well in the pocket!

    Hello!
    I’m intermidiate level surf. 32years. 80-85kg
    Wich fish you recomend me?
    DHD
    Chris Christenson
    Go fish?
My actual board is FW Dominator 6’2
    Thanks for your time 🙏🏼

All 3 are a good option, the Christenson's feel thicker and have more volume in smaller sizes when compared to the Mini Twin and the GO Fish. Dhd is probably the most high perfomance, the Go Fish is the only one that is EPS.

Hey guys just wanted to check what size mini twin you would recommend, I weigh 69 kgs and 6’2 tall, been surfing for 12 years. Not sure on the size. Cheers

Depends on what you typically ride and your skill level, either the 5'3 or the 5'5 would likely be your size. It depends if you feel like you need more float I personally like a bit of volume because I put wave catching ability above performance.

I would say that it depends on what kind of volume you like to ride mate?

How does it compare to the Go Fish?

Hi Terence, the DHD mini twin is a bit more of a shortboard/fish hybrid when compared with the Go Fish.

What's the difference between the Mini Twin Fin and the Mini Twin Fin II?

    • @downthelinesurfshop
      @downthelinesurfshop  5 лет назад +2

The mini Twin 2 is wider and is designed for even weaker, mushier waves. It also has a shallower swallow tail and channels between the fins to generate speed.

Also the MT II has a more distinct vee in the tail which almost acts as a centre fin to pivot off. Bought one a couple of months ago and for me it goes well up to overhead. Super versatile, even had it out in 4ft slabby reef and it paddled in so super early.. heaps of drive. Alot of fun :)
