Kerr killing it on that twin. Born and raised here in Ocean Beach/Sunset Cliffs San Diego, twin fins are in our DNA. Still surf my mom’s Lis fish. At 48 now I’m stoked to see a resurgence of twins. I’m so blessed to have a Frye, Topper, G-Star, 1984 Caynon Rusty, Hank Warner, Chris Christenson, Larry Mabile, 1987 Nectar, 1983ish G&S, Tim Bessel, Stu Kenyon and my favorite my mom’s Steve Lis. RIP mom. Thank you for giving me my first board and always letting me cut school for a good south swell. Much love and Aloha 🤙🏼
I moved to OB in 1976 to 1979 on Pescadero st and came with a 6' 6'' single fin Channel island egg. I then got a used 6' 4'' twin fin with a fin box (Never did put a fin in) from Skip Frye. My next two boards were twin fins by John Belick. That guy was a true innovator. You have one of the best waves on the coast and even at over 40 years later it shall remain nameless.
That was just super enjoyable to watch. He should get back on tour and only surf twinnies. He's surfing faster and more fluid than ever on those things.
Man, I've never surfed before, but I like the way that twins _appear_ to surf. Smooth movements and a gradual, progressive drive. None of the hurky jerky whippy crap that thrusters look like they do, or the ultra stiff locked-in feel that quads are seemingly said to have. The whole appeal of surfing or being on the water, IMO, is the smooth speed and tranquility, NOT trying to be an F1 car or a motocross racer on a board. Maybe it's not just the fin count that contributes to this (after all, what do I know, being a non-surfer and all...) but based on anecdotal evidence, it seems to be one of the key factors. Plus, it's said you can powerslide or drift a bit on twins, both intentionally and unintentionally. The former appeals to me as a fun choice, and the latter appeals because it would presumably push you toward a higher skill ceiling and weed out bad habits.
A bit late to be referring to Karamas as Bali's east coast don't you think. The surf media destroyed it, like everything else in surfing, and now it's somewhere in Indonesia. Kerr shreds regardless.
Does Kerzy basically live in Indo? Always see clips of him at Keramas. Not bad way to live. Curious how the Hell he does it financially. Certainly ain’t cheap. Super jealous.
Josh has reinvented himself on the twin fin. His surfng is timeless and his recent film on the twinnie was a classic.
💯💯💯
It's great that film hey
Is his film on RUclips?

We agree!
His surfing is more interesting than 90% of the guys on the ct.
Yea the comps are so boring right now
🙂🙂
CT is fucking the surf
I agree. There’s such a sameness about the pros surfing which makes it often boring.
Agreed...ripping it up with style to boot!
I'd rather watch this than the WSL type of stuff. I love the smooth, flowing (yet powerful) approach.
🙂🙂
He gets better and better as he surfs that board

No he doesn't live in in Indo🙂
ムチャクチャ上手い😅
Unbelievable that he never won a title. I think with a twinny he probably would have.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why he didn’t charge that SICK bonus section on the first wave🤔🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
He rips, looks like he's coming off injury tho, def avoiding certain movements. He's way better than 99.9% of the world
🙂🙂
It’s sped up
Shredulation mon ( Jamaican accent) lol
😁🤙🏾🤙🏾
TWINSMAN?
He fell off!
