norman was hard as nails, the guy love hardball. he told rawls 'we mind you asking ' when rawls asked whether they(carcetti/norman) minded him asking why they were retaining burrell for the short term
The best parts of The Wire is Tommy Carcetti and how he interacts with the other characters he's involved with. His wife, Norman, Theresa D'Agostino etc. You can always see the wheels turning in all aspects of his life. He is part time family man, part time ladies man and ruthless ambitious politician. Aidan Gillen plays him brilliantly.
Little Miss Black Dress Yeah and for those of us from Maryland, it’s clear that Carcetti is based on Martin O’Malley, the former White Mayor of Baltimore who later became Governor, much like Carcetti does
Always loved that this "con" wasn't really a con, per se; it was Clay doing a little work and making three different political entities think Clay did them a favor.
Good eye! Would've been ironic for the department who ran an illegal wire in one of the seasons, if a crime boss like Prop Joe had installed a wiretap in a mantle clock like that.
@@be4unvme Reg Cathey(Campaign Mgr. Norman). Seems almost like about half the cast of The Wire are dead, shit is too real. At least they passed away as modern day legends, to those who really appreciate the show, anyway.
I watched this series when it aired and was amazed when I first saw the actors that played Carcetti and McNulty interviewed in real life and found out that their real accents were Irish & Cockney. I didn't have a clue that they weren't from the US.
One of the reasons the wire is the best is that even small parts like Carcetti's chief of sraff are played by great actors who steal scenes like this one

Clay Davis was born with his hand in someone else's pocket.
Related to prop joe 😂😂
Prop Joe with wealthier, more stable parents, a better education and better contacts...
Norman's imitation of Clay Davis "s**t" is one of the most underrated funny parts of the wire imo 😂

Carcetti's chief of staff is understated yet entertaining in every scene he's in.
One of the best characters in the show. If only Carcetti listened to him more often
He was supposed to be play Bunk at first. Can you imagine that? Would've been just as great as Wendell Pierce
Technically, the younger white guy, Michael is Carcetti's Chief of Staff. Norm is Carcetti's advisor.

That last “sheeeeeet” rearranged the wax in my ear it was so full of bass😂😂
Davis is so good, I didn't even realized he didn't agree to give back the money until AFTER the video was over.
Norman was not seriously asking, him and Carcrtti both knew that wasn't happening

He didn’t even speak on it. That was a rhetorical question to get to the point

Norman is such an Underrated Character on this show. Subtle yet very entertaining
RIP to the Actor who played him
Clay never got caught. Neither did the ranking "Greeks". Higher ups don't get time. If by chsnce they do, they living club fed.
Clay did get caught
Rich people dont go to prison they just take cool off
Yup, and Bond fucked it up by not using the mortgage fraud which would have made the case federal. He wanted the skin and got skinned himself.
Unless they commit the cardinal sin of ripping off other rich people like Bernie Madoff
Clay did get caught but he played the race card on Baltimore but he knew 100 percent that if the case was on Annapolis he would be sentenced.
