Just found your channel - it was recommended on the SV Owners Group page! :-) I have an SV1000S, so I'll be watching to see what you are up to. 🙂Someone has already mentioned the flywheel magnets, which need to be JB welded in place. Another common problem is the green connector under the fuel tank, close to the headstock. It has a habit of failing and causing random faults. Many people have removed it altogether and hardwired it. Plenty more on the SV portals to look at. It should be a lovely bike when you've finished it.

Nice project!! I started an sv1000 project myself. Be sure to check the charging system as these bikes are notorious for magneto magnets spinning loose from the flywheel...don't ask how I know 🤦🏾♂️
I wanna get my hands on a project bike just waiting on the right bike not 100 percent sure what I want yet but some thing I can make into a cafe racer style ,
There is plenty out there suitable! Have a look at the Facebook pages for motorcycle projects. There’s loads of bikes for sake without the eBay chancers that normally hike up the prices!
@@KevsShed yeah i know mate got my eyes open, would be ideal during the lockdown aswell to have something to tinker with, luckily I'm still working otherwise I'd go insane lol
