- I'm excited to be going to the Motorhome and Caravan Show 2023 at Birmingham's NEC to talk about taking your pet into mainland Europe from the UK. As well as talking a little more about it and offering reduced price tickets, I take you on a dog walk with Dougal, Ted, and Bradley in Walmer and Kingsdown, between Dover and Deal in Kent.

Unfortunately I’ve had pneumonia very badly and I don’t think I’m going to be fit enough to go round the NEC at this stage. You couldn’t do me a massive favour and have a look at the double axil conversion with the drive-in shower based on the Sprite Major.on the Coachbuilt UK’s stand please.I’m thinking of buying one myself this year. It would certainly be an interesting video for my fellow non-disabled subscribers to watch too. Many thanks,

A good reason not to travel to Birmingham? It is a long drive from where I live in Belgium and I would need to travel to the UK from mainland Europe to be able to learn from an expert how to do so 😉
Always nice to see dogs play, ours didn't fancy a walk this evening, I guess they needed some rest after taking naps all day 😀

Shame I almost certainly can't make it - I am leaving Bavaria on 12/10 for a week in UK, returning 19/10, my first 'home' visit in exactly 20 years, but this time dog is staying at home!
Would be nice to have you do a bit on caravans & EV's. It's such an amazingly good driving feel with an EV, & I don't believe the consumption problematic is that much different to an ICE - naturally the range does though become even more important.
I have a full electric BMW iXI which, despite 313bhp & 500Nm torque, only has 1,200 kg towing weight on factory fitted tow-bar. And I'm currently looking for a caravan and set my eye on Hobby 495WFB with 1,290 kg empty weight & 1,800 kg MTPLM!
Guess what - Send copies of your car's paperwork, online, to a specialist & transfer €550 to get by post the official paperwork for 1,800kg. And not a single piece of the car has been touched. BMW fit same tow-bar to all XI's whether diesel, petrol, hybrid or EV, but presumably for WLTP ratings reduce towing weight artificially! Not sure if such a thing is possible in UK.
So as of this week I can now tow my lovely Ifor Williams horse trailer with 900kg empty weight WITH a horse in it, in fact easily two equines as one's a lightweight Welsh! I would have liked to have bought a British caravan as the layouts appeal to me more, but sadly the dealer network coverage is poor (even Swift), but in particular for Bailey. :-(
PS Do I go for DFDS (Calais/Dunkirk) over my 1990s favourite P&O? I've never done Tunnel & enjoy 90 minutes stroll on boat.

@@andrewjditton I knew you had in past chosen DFDS & that's what I booked. Last one of day, of course little Action for short Calais Dover crossing, but clean & friendly & good boarding check in etc.
Hello Andrew so sorry you are still enduring the migraines. It shows in your eyes. I looked so different and you go pale too. I wish there was an answer. I found ergotamine worked for me but mine were due to female hormones going bananas( I know all the scientific jargon!!!) but it took time to work so still a lot of intense suffering. How did you manage to walk the boys? Food didn’t play a part. Ergotamine is ignored by the drs now in preference to the latest pharmaceutical ‘discoveries’ but ‘any port in a storm’ Wish I could be more helpful. I did go to a very famous Chinese herbalist & we tried many herb combinations but nothing worked.
I hope you have settled in at Kent - upheaval doesn’t help, wishing you better health & thanks for all your output!

I'm sure I speak for all your subscribers when I say, your content is always worth waiting for, no matter how long the gaps, so I hope this doesn't come across as trying to pressure you - It's just tha this isn't at all like you, you've normally posted some videos during the show's run; I am therefore getting a little concerned for your welfare. I hope you're just being kept busy, and that you and your family are all well. Please feel free to delete this if you deem it inappropriate here, but I think we'd all appreciate just a wee note when you get a moment to say you're ok.
