If there are any accessories in the same room as the camera is in in the home app, the device option will appear. For example: if you had a camera in a room calling living room and also a smart plug in the same room in the app, you’d be able to control the plug from the Apple TV. It works with any device inside the home app (regardless of brand)
In my Apple TV Siri Shortcuts I show a little breakdown of how it works. Just create shortcut with the open app action for the Apple TV. Thanks for watching! 😊
Sweet! Ok, so can you connect two headphones from the same apple tv. Allowing you and another person to listen to the same show and the same time? I’m looking at getting the newest apple tv.
Good stuff. Question, do you know how to keep closed captioning from bouncing from one side to the other? It a bit distracting to have to read it that way. Plant on the bottom in the center and don't move is my preference.
I've bought an old apple tv 4k, but airplay doesnt work well on 4k HDR Dolby Vision videos from my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Could you confirm if the new Apple Tv 4k is capble to stream 4k HDR Dolvby Vision by airplay from iPhone?
If you are a gamer that has lots of games download, then get the 64 GB version; otherwise, get the 32 GB version. I have the 32 GB version and I have lots of free space available.
I go with 32 every time. I only use it for steaming. Even with a few games downloaded for this video, I had a ton of space left. 64 is best if you play a lot of games. Thanks for your support and for watching! 😊
Adam how did you get to put your HomeKit app on your Apple TV control center? I have a few smart devices that works with HomeKit but I can’t seem to find the home app on the control center just like your Apple TV shows.
I saw that you’re on 1080p with your small tv can you play RUclips videos on 4K because my PlayStation 4 is allowing me to play 4K videos on my 1080p television?
I tried using my HomePod mini’s as surround sound speakers but they weren’t in sync with the tv, there is a slight delay that I found extremely annoying.
There is a sync setting for HomePod speakers, should be somewhere under audio settings near the calibration. It’ll play audio from your speakers and your iPhone will listen to adjust the delay automatically.
Haha I’m not sure of a shortcut how to do it but I used QuickTime player on a Mac and chose the Apple TV as the source. I can’t remember exactly how I did it but I know I googled it lol Thanks for watching! 😊
@@AdamsTechLife thanks, yeah I'm aware of the Quicktime method. The on-Apple-TV method happened to me twice, so I'm hunting around to see how I did it! It may have been in a game via a PS4 controller
@@AdamsTechLife Purchase completed and everything was set up in less than 20 minutes. I tested watching a David Attenborough documentary and it was terrific. The sound quality from the AirPod Pro’s is amazing as well. Thanks again for the helpful video.
I’ve watched a ton of videos on this stuff recently. Yours was by FAR the absolute best. The editing, the style, the info, you actually showing things. Extremely helpful. Keep up the great work. Your video was a lot better than others that have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Hats off to you!
To pause the PiP video, click the TV button so that it focuses that window (when it shows the PiP controls) then click that ‘Play/Pause’ button on the remote.. and if the app doesn’t support PiP; like RUclips, AirPlay from another device to the tv and it will allow it.
Love the video and learned a few new things that I will be incorporating into my Apple TV experience; like folders and One Apple TV feature. Thank you so much for making these great videos.
Liked your video. Learned a couple of new features. You might also look into homebridge which allows you to control some devices like Ring which aren’t supported directly on homekit.
Let me know when I can use Siri and a Homepod to do ANYTHING I can do with the remote. Like "Hey Siri, RUclips Newshour August 11" then "Hey Siri, scroll down" then "Hey Siri, click"
This remote also sucks, I am using the Apple TV for more than 3 months now. It is not at all accurate. First of all there is lot of lag you press one thing it execute that after few seconds. You move one click right it just moves 10 click automatically. Sometimes it just never play something I keep on pressing the center button. Now after so much frustration I have started using my TV remote. So all in all anyone thinking of buying this Apple TV based on the remote just skip it. You will better off with 30-40 dollar android boxes compare to this expensive and unreliable option.
@@AdamsTechLife yes i changed input to arc and went into my input settings and toggled a switch called simplink(hdmi-cec) in hdmi settings and it finally turns on with Apple TV remote🤣 next thing i have to figure out is if the Apple TV remote can change my hdmi inputs on tv then I’m good to go
What's your favorite feature of the Apple TV?
3:09 mine doesn’t show the Home Kit Devices icon. Does it work with Ring? Or has to be Apple special devices? Did you have to activate some settings?

Haha! Thanks for watching! 😊
How to did the "Wake TV and Set Lights" shortcut?
create new siri shortcut and add the wake apple tv action and run a homekit scene that controls lights or choose lights to turn on
does it have safari browser?and can it instal luna ad blocker?
Nope
Where can I find how you set up the Netflix and Disney shortcut on your phone?
In my Apple TV Siri Shortcuts I show a little breakdown of how it works. Just create shortcut with the open app action for the Apple TV. Thanks for watching! 😊
How do you get the two volume buttons on your Lock Screen on minute 2:27?
You'll have to use a TV that has an HDMI ARC port to have access to volume controls. Thanks for watching! 😊
Ok I clicked on the up bottom and scrolled to the right but what you show and what my TV shows are totally different. How do I do PIP?
What do you mean?
How do I delete specific photos from my photo app on Apple TV? is that possible? I have tried and tried but cant figure it out?
That’s tied to the photos album on your phone, it’s essentially just mirroring. I don’t believe you can, haven’t tried it.
How can I delete or offload the photos from the photo app?
I’m sure apple has a support article on that
Is there anyway to make a full screen older movie show up wide screen on the Apple TV?
Not really, you could probably change the scaling on your tv but that’s it. Thanks for watching! 😊
Can I make an iOS shortcut to automatically show all security cameras on AppleTV?
Not currently, that'd be awesome! I think you can tell siri to show you all your cameras, but I haven't tried that. Thanks for watching! 😊
Still no possibility to create our playlist of our film we ve bought ? SERIOUSLY ?
I wish lol Thanks for watching! 😊
Sweet! Ok, so can you connect two headphones from the same apple tv. Allowing you and another person to listen to the same show and the same time? I’m looking at getting the newest apple tv.
I don’t think so. Maybe you could do something with like the airpods sharing feature? I haven’t tried that with an Apple TV. Thanks for watching! 😊
Nice information. Do you know how to get Kodi on the new Apple TV device?
No clue. Thanks for watching! 😊
Good stuff. Question, do you know how to keep closed captioning from bouncing from one side to the other? It a bit distracting to have to read it that way. Plant on the bottom in the center and don't move is my preference.
I don’t think it’s possible to change the location of closed captions tbh
hey do you know how to view your captures ?
What?
so you know how sometimes you capture an imagine but accident how can you view them
Picture in Picture and home kit is just available in US.
I was not aware of this, thank you!

The new one should be able to do that. Apple’s website will have more info on that. Thanks for watching! 😊
Which camera do you use to allow all those live feeds at once ?
I’m using the eufy cam but any HomeKit cam will do. Thanks for watching! 😊
Thanks Adam…great stuff👍🏻….Quick question…32gb vs 64gb….what do you normally choose?….I need to get a new apple TV 4k and trying to decide.

Adam how did you get to put your HomeKit app on your Apple TV control center? I have a few smart devices that works with HomeKit but I can’t seem to find the home app on the control center just like your Apple TV shows.
It’s built into the control center of the tv operating system. You’ll see a home icon nearby the other settings
Can you switch hdmi inputs?
Not from the remote. Thanks for watching! 😊
I saw that you’re on 1080p with your small tv can you play RUclips videos on 4K because my PlayStation 4 is allowing me to play 4K videos on my 1080p television?
