Ayyy that is awesome! Thank you for coming back here to drop a comment. I do wish the podcasts had comment functionality because I love hearing what you all think
Novablast 5 the best shoe I have ever ran in. As a 6’2 225 runner these are amazing. They feel fast and agile like the rebels but also a lot more protection on each step like a nimbus but not mushy but bouncy especially cause being a heavier runner feels like i just bounce off ground 💚
@@NickNelsonReiners There is no way those shoes are designed for a 200 lb. runner. Some shoe company needs to formulate a foam where a 200 lb. runner is the design goal.
Bro I completely agree with you on the Evo SL. It’s a good speed shoe for speed related training. It’s not a daily daily trainer that you rack up a ton of miles . Signed a demon slug
Shout out from brazil. Did my first run in Sl2 (same colour of yours), i supposed to do easy 10k, but man... The first 3 miles i did in about 6:45 per mile, and the rest around 7, 7:10.... What a shoe! I also have rebellion flash 2, deviate 2, novablast 2.
My running form has changed a lot since my blood turned red again and I've made my peace with the Superblast. It doesn't feel bouncy like the Neo Vista but it just pops me off the ground so quick that I'm running faster than I think. That just bought me at least another 300+ miles before I have to buy another shoe 👟😎.
I liked your shoe rotation video, but I have a request, what would be your best budget 3 shoe rotation for marathon training for beginner to intermediate runners training for 3rd marathon. And then your selection for a 3 shoe rotation if money was not a limitation.
Budget: puma ForeverRun nitro knit as daily trainer and long run/workout shoe ($65), Saucony surge 3 as recovery shoe ($75) and adidas Evo SL as speed and race shoe if you really wanted one ($150). But honestly you could get by on the first two only
I agree. I have both NB5 and Evo sl and the nb5 is a better daily trainer by far. The Evo is just not great for that for me. Not that stable, and kinda firm for easy days. But they are fast.
Superblast works for me better than my novablast 4 did, maybe cuz I am a bigger runner ? The superblast midsole foam is longer lasting for me . I was able to get asics website discount so the price difference was less of an issue but for me the superblast works better and lasts longer .
Useless to say something about the grip on wet weather roads, since your feet get soaked in the Novablast 5. And to be honest. I think it is pretty grippy on wet roads.
It's v14. I put correction notes in the upper left corner. I prefer the v13 though for its soft comfort and it feels a bit more cohesive. I talked about it a lot on the channel which is why I kept saying v13 😂
@@srigalaKehausan I started witb NB4 TR, then bought a brandnew NB2 supercheap, and after that the NB3. Didn't like the stranegly wobbly NB3 at all, sold it after 1 run! The looks were the best, but close your eyes, then you know how important the looks of somthing are ;) For me: NB4 TR is the far best, "normal" shoe NB2. Never saw the NB1 in person nor had my feet in them, so i cannot say. My gait is perfectly neutral btw, so NB4 TR is NOT my favorite because of stability. But it is nice to have. You are running in rails compared to NB3. Like on newer carving ski compared to the ones from the stone age.
This is good news because I have a lot of miles on my Nike Invincible 3s and I recently tried the NB4s and on my first run they gave me knee and shin pain. I returned them and got my money back. I tried the asics nimbus 26 and even though they have a lot of foam they’re stiff as hell. I tried on the NB5s and they do feel like my Nike invincible 3s but with more bounce!
@@flex_nyc9885 Agree. I'm a new runner in my 50's but I am putting utmost effort in ensuring that I get the very best (for me) gear for staying healthy and injury free and I have been going full send on buying shoes to find the optimal shoe. I'm buying multiples of the NB5. It checks all the boxes.
Mmmm hmmm but I’ve asked for your thoughts on the ON Cloud surfer 7 not once but twice and you have not yet delivered. It’s ON’s flagship shoe and there’s no review on your channel on it, that’s weird bro.
Yeah I missed the boat on that one when it came out. You got me walking around saying badaboom badabang
We all do that now. :D
🤣🤣🤣
You forgot BADABOP 😜
I listened to this one on Spotify. As of now, you will entertain me on my Sunday long runs! Thank you!

Man I am in love with my SL2’s. So much fun running in those babies. And they’re quick
Got the NB5 today. What a fantastic shoe. Just ran 5k at different paces and some sprints at the end. It killed it.
You got it already, eh? I may have to myself!
@@brianway4240 It released on the 3rd of Dec in Australia. Not sure where you are but it should be released.
Couldn’t agree more. Sensational shoe in all regards.
Love the quiet environmental shots.
Hobby jogger quarter or half zip! And a suggestion for one in the meantime would be much appreciated!
Quarter zip coming soon! 🫡

That is my takeaway as well. The big brands need to address the crowd that would be over 200 lbs. with
Oh man, 6 foot 4, 195…. And I bottom out a lot of the shoes I have tried. May have to try these….

Still ramping up the miles on my final pair of NB 3's and then will replace them with the 5's, thanks for your refreshing content!

The quality on that Hobby Jogger hoodie looks like it's going to be a BANGER.
I swear if they made a neutral copy of the current 860 it would be mega popular. Love the two foams in that shoe
+1
I went to a running store today and was going to get the NB5 and the wife said hell no to more shoes. Damn.

🔥 Love the new merch fam! Those shipping prices to UK/EU are high but I guess not much you can do about that. By the way us blokes say Asics lol.
Giving the people what they want!! 🔥🔥🔥Great news about the hoodies & the PODCAST!! - and of course a timely shoe review. 🔥🔥🔥
Hoodies are HEAT 🔥
My 2 shoe rotation as of this week is SL2 (up to 10-15k, fartlek, intervals etc) + superblast 2 for everything else (10k+)
loving the hoodie!
I'm not a lover of the sb2. But the sb1 I like. Sb2 is just to klunky for me but I do like firmer shoes recently.
🤔
Wish I could fit in the SL2 but the midfoot was too narrow. Got the Rebel instead

Really want to see a Adistar 3 review. The shoe is very soft and squishy, and only $8O with your discount code on RW
Yowana bro what are the best wet weather shoes? Rains a lot where I’m at and it’s safety priority
Will the NB5 be good for the treadmill?
No link to podcast in the description below?
The dang hat sold again. Imma get next time
1080v14!
How do the SL2 fit size wise comoared to say nimbus 25? I need a daily trainer thats not as soft as the nimbus
Would you pair these Novablast 5 with the Puma Deviate Nitro 3???
On paper yes that sounds like a great combo
Boom! I love a hoodie!!
