Personally, I would never take an engine down as far as you have already and not at least inspect all the rod and main bearings. It doesn't take that long and if something is wrong with them and you install the motor then all the parts and gaskets was for nothing if you have to do it all over again. Juts my opinion.
I hear ya. I will say, I did pull the main caps off to inspect them off camera after I made the video and they all looked great. I didn’t touch the rods bearings though.
