I like your build out a lot! I think you have a smart selection of lights for your van size. I almost never see Arri 650s except on student films these days? Almost everyone else has gone LED for their low power fixtures, what's your thinking for using those today?

Thanks for watching! The 650s are there for a couple reasons- two fit nicely in a milk crate 🤩 but also, it’s added value that costs me virtually NOTHING. Nobody ever asks for it but I actually find quite a few places to use them. On certain low budget jobs they really appreciate having additional sources without having to add another fixture to the invoice.

That is a smart truck. Lots of good solutions and thoughtful organization. 10/10 would work out of this truck on a job with you. That gap of a top shelf on the left is missing a few more pocket lights to use for accenting sets. Either a Rosco Dash 8-light kit or an MC Pro 8-light kit.

Thanks homie. That would be so cool to do a job together! I’ve been thinking the same about that little space up top. A pack of dashs, mc pros, or Luna bulbs. Perhaps a custom kit of 2-4 of all of the above would be cool too.

@@PancakeLighting ooooohhhh. A mixed kit of some Luna Bulbs, some Nxy Bulbs, some MC Pros, and some DMG Dash lights that all charge from one plug, in one pelican case would be amazing. That’s a really interesting idea.

@@shadowshapersooh. I hadn’t even thought about a charging case lol. On my typical job I rarely need 8 bulbs or 8 pocket lights. I just need a smattering of options. A charging case would be cool. I found out tho that for Luna bulbs you still need an Astera box (which I would have to purchase) 4 Lunas plus an art 7 would take me close to the price of the 8 Luna kit. I may just have to go for it.

@@PancakeLighting Oh ouch, that sucks. Would you need the art7 box if you have that Luna bulb config box for them? The one that comes in the pelican case for them?

Awesome build! Do you have a link to the roof rack and the cylinder tube containers that holds your rails/pipes?
    Thanks!

My rack was a custom build by a shop in Portland Oregon. It’s all welded 1-piece and needed to be installed with a forklift. The tubes are 6” pvc with caps from a plumbing supply store. Tubes are mounted to the rack with ratchet straps. Thanks for watching!
