Console Commands:
toggleconsole (Opens the console)
"jpeg_quality 100" (for best screenshot quality (put this in the launch options!)
"cl_drawhud 0" (hides the HUD)
"cl_drawhud 1" (shows the HUD)
"r_lod 0" (sets level of detail to 0)
"r_shadowcolor 255 255 255" (hides the normal shadows = useful for when using the lamp tool's dynamic shadows)
"sv_cheats 1" (enables cheats)
"host_timescale 1" (for slow motion 1 = default speed. Set it lower, for example to ".5" or ".3" for slow motion)
"r_cleardecals" (clears the maps from decals like paint)
(Copy the following in the launch options for high quality dynamic shadows)
"+mat_depthbias_shadowmap 0.00001" "+mat_slopescaledepthbias_shadowmap 2" "+r_projectedtexture_filter 0.05" "+r_flashlightdepthres 16384"

You missed one thing... About buying the orange box... Everyone maybe cant buy it so there is an alternate fix to missing textures and stuff ingame! You just have to get the CSS, HL2E1, HL2E2 content addon! You can just google it or search for it on youtube. That content addon helped me out alot! So i thought to let you know... Maybe add in the description or whatever...

Some advice- for the huge uncompressed files, I like to use handbrake. It should be free, and it can compress/ convert videos into smaller formats, while keeping the quality, and the settings are modifiable.

i know this is like old and stuff, but dude, thank you very much. i got a new pc last year and now i decided to start animating stuff like this, i did a little test, and its great, but damn this take lot of time.
i feel like editing and doing the timing right is the thing that really bother me the most, but after all i had a great time. thank you so much dude you are my hero. (i also dont speak english so sorry for mistakes)
In my opinion, OBS is the best recording software.
Technically yes but Streamlabs OBS works the same is more optimized and You don't need a $10k PC to get some funny 20FPS

obs is something you can use if you have a good cpu, gpu (graphics card), ssd/harddrive, and 16gb of ram

Great Bor, but I also recommend Stop Motion screenshots with FRAPS instead of the camera tool, I don't know about you but the tool just makes gmod so laggy and freezy that I prefer smooth FRAPS screenshots.

how do you edit the character voice to say specific words that are not included in the game files? for example, heavy saying "oh shit medic is a noob" ..the lines that are not included in the game files, how do you edit them to say other words?
Yep. Little tutorial on sound editing will be useful.
well it's just editing parts of existing voice lines together.

This is what I use: obs studio for recording, garrys mod for animation , and wav pad video editor for editing and myinstants for sounds

you can record with obs its free and you can separate the game audio as a separate file and you voice too and it saves videos to a more reasonable size
Hey bro, you forgot something which took me hours to fix XDD since I never do this type of stuff.
Atleast, for me the normal 'Weld Smart' settings 'Auto Freeze' was unchecked, so when I'd weld it all together the ragdoll position would fall apart, but you need it checked, so when you weld it together, its still in its posed position, and then you can unweld it.

Could anyone help me on this problem. When I'm implementing my screenshots into sony vegas (set at 0.04 (2 frames (s)) all at once they instantly go super fast and I'm not sure how to fix this.
It seems when I use the launch options, the game will be stuck in loading screen but I can hear myself walking or anything in-game.
I did remove the options afterwards but I'm still blind to the loading screen unless I set Shadows to 'Medium' or 'Low' as setting it to 'High' will cause the problem but it's still bad for me because I can no longer produce (grainy) dynamic shadows.
I don't think removing the options is simply going to undo the settings so if anyone who is reading this and wants high quality dynamic shadows, you might run the risk of sacrificing your dynamic shadows or the playability of the game.
Or maybe I'm an idiot and just need to wait for the loading screen to disappear even if the actual game is loaded.

So when you was puppeting the soldier like he was laughing, how did you make it so he was move able but he wasn't floppy? Was his body parts welded?
(ASSUMING YOU HAVE SOURCE FILMMAKER) Another way to find all voice lines from TF2 is to go to your Source Filmmaker directory, then game/tf/sound and every sound within TF2 is there
i like the fact that he just out of nowhere said a slur and dosent care about it (i should feel offended cause the slur is techniclly towards me, but i find it quite funny)

Whenever I weld a ragdoll and make it drive after u do the smart weld and press r the heavy ragdoll isn't a statue anymore
+Freezeblast 456 Are you using the statue tool from the "resurrected tools" from my workshop link?
BorMachine yea but it says whenever you press r it becomes a ragdoll but when you did it it was still a statue

how can i do gmod with other models that are not from steam games?
Great tutorial! Just one question. I cant find any cars with no hud (when driving) so Im not able to do a ragdoll driving the car, and I cant figure out how to get rid of it if there is a way, what should I do? (the hotkey works for the health but not the car hud)
