    What I like about SGs is that fact that they make it so easy to reach the higher notes.

    Very informative review, thanks. Was pleasantly surprised to hear John Frusciante's "Look on".

    Pretty sure you have a 498T in the bridge. Juste check the reading with a cable plugued in, switch to bridge, max volume and a ohm meter, if it reads 13.x kohm its a 498T, 490T is around 7.9k

    I just got an SG last Feb. Very similar to my Flying V, I didn't adjust as much. It's just so small and thin, I got to get used to that. It's like a thin and long LP.

      Nice!! I wonder if there are MORE choices on an SG config wise then a Les Paul?? I reckon there just might be

    How does the neck on this compare to your Eastman t486?

    • @Paul-D
      @Paul-D  Год назад +1

      SG always feels wider E to E but thickness is similar.

    Hey man, whats the neck like in comparison to a 60s strat? I have small hands and im on the verge of swapping for a 2010 sg

    • @Paul-D
      @Paul-D  2 года назад

      Its wider you would notice that straight away. Not fat but E to E will feel wider in the hand

      @@Paul-D I’m really stuck like, my missus wont allow anymore than 2 guitars in the house so the Fenders going lol. You think it would suit small hands?

      @@vigilanceplays8560 i think you would get used to it for sure. But every player needs more then 2 cuz theres so different haha.

      but an SG is much easier to play sat down then a V hahaa

      @@Paul-D yeah, it's an odd shape. But I always play in classical position so flying v works best for me. It doesn't go anywhere, just locks in place.

      Made my living with two SGs and two 200 watt Marshall's, have a LesPaul custom mid range punch, only one stack, the SG was brighter, but needed two stacks for the it. Retired in2001, thank you SG. Also, I would like to say, you are a stellar guitarist, keep playin!

      @@frankdardano3182 I just read your reply, thank you!
      I wish I had an SG when I started since it's very compact for a full sized, non-headless guitar. Easy to travel with.
      I started with 2 flying v's when I first landed my job teaching music. Then I started getting paid gigs as a session guitarist with just my Hamer V. All I have functioning now is the SG since I don't travel with flying v's anymore. I envy the Marshalls too.
