You mentioned in one of the videos about a photo of the previous buildings. That would be interesting to see. Ignore the negative comments, as they obviously are not worth reading. You do want you want and I agree that sometimes the hard way is often more fun. A digger would destroy a lot of those little finds. Good for foundations, but that is not what you are doing now. You are exploring your land.
Happy Christmas, definitely buy a digger, I have built two houses myself, No 1 hired in diggers No 2 bought a digger, had it for two years so handy and sold it for more than I paid for it. Kubota is the way to go.
I would buy a digger second hand which has just been serviced. They are not too complicated to maintain and you will get your money back when you sell. I would also buy a second hand Williams trailer that’s just been serviced. I know it’s a big outlay but worth it. Another idea is a shed and slabbed area for your car or caravan. It’s an exciting time and will all come together

Hi to both of you, you commented that someone had mentioned the 28 day rule as in you can only stay on your land for 28 days, I don't know if that still applies in Scotland, but in the UK this was changed to 50 days during covid and the extended to 60 days a while back, may be worth checking out, all the best for next year.

On the ideas about the digger, I'd try and buy one. Just don't get a JCB unless it's a really old one. Believe me they are crap. Kubota are good. But most digger makes are reliable and are quite simple to maintain and work on. I've seen what work you have done with Kevlar so should not be any problem for you. Only drawback is you need a trailer, but then again you can use that for carrying stuff on for the land. Enjoy
Agreed. Buying a digger is the way to go. Saves a fortune long term. And diggers can do so much more than dig. But you do need to buy wisely. We have bought an old kubota KX61. Mid 90's, no electronics. Did the same on our previous project.

Amazing that you are getting sponsorship opertunitys, all I would suggest is keep the advert relevant and work it in to your video rather than doing a stand alone 30 seconds add (ie, if you were to get a mobile power bank shoe is how you personaly have been useing it, hydration drinks explain how you personly use it and show yourself drinking then throughout the video rather than just telling us about how the product is all sining all dancing). But most importantly of all go get that mother fucking money!
