🚨Inboxing of the New Timex Q “Driver/Diver Chronograph🚨 Here’ is the link to the review i enjoyed the best so far! Alton From “Half past Blog” • Ten Important Things A...
Very nice! These were out of stock until 4 days ago. As soon as I was notified of them being available I ordered mine in SS bracelet and reverse panda. It came yesterday 😊 ❤❤❤ love it. Actually better than expected. No micro pits or scratches. Hands have clean edges and the crystal is actually mineral crystal not acrylic. Im impressed.
SB Foot Tanning Co is a great leather company famous for providing leather for Redwing boots. That's actually a really good leather. It's not going to be a smooth dress watch strap sort of leather but a rugged and handsome leather. I'm interested to see how it holds up.
I like the due fact they are using redwing boot leather, it's not oily as horween (which horween is also good, we are talking subjective traits here) and this looks as if it's vegetable tanned even but I'm doubtful of that, if it is than that will last your lifetime and then some if taken care of properly, if not then it will last a long while still. The only thing about redwing's leather is unlike other leather companies is it does take longer to break-in usually at least on their boots due to using thicker cuts of leather, hence why they're a good choice long term use, just maybe not good on you foot for the first few weeks of break-in and even then it takes about 6 months for them to be formed to your foot. Timex is basically saying they want this watch to last awhile with this choice.
I’m all honesty….. I bought this and took it and wore it extensively to Disney world and throughout the day and the sweat and the heat it broke in nicely. It was comfy out of the box but now it’s like you mentioned a comfy pair of boots! Cheers
Really great to see these getting out into people's hands. Thanks for the shout out. 👍 That cream panda is really nice. I'd love to see it on the reverse panda bracelet. Thanks for the vid. 👍🎃
@@halfpastblog unless you were referring to the leather bands that they make for the Casio world timer. They are prob a slight upgrade to the stock one but so far it’s been good haven’t worn anything else. It’s breaking and forming to my wrist nicely sticking is okay, and it’s got some quality to it.
That is such a sweet Q. I actually bought the Timex GMT, and like it a lot as well. I would LOVE to get that leather strap for my watch. I wonder if Timex will ever make it available for purchase.
Hahaha it’s funny because I want the bracelet which they use on this one and the gmt. The leather is good and it will hold up over time, I know that the Vario straps work on it too, even though they are meant for the Casio world timer
@@timefliesby-jleo474 The new bracelet is very comfortable. I recommend it. It would just be nice to be able to switch between the two. Good tip with the Vario straps. Thanks.
I thought that the cream panda would be great but was disappointed to see that it appears to be more of a silvery dial in the flesh so I went with the black face version which is great!
That’s tough, I like the bracelet version but the cream dial panda is my favourite, I already have a black dial chrono and I wanted the cream, also the brown strap brings out the richness of that cream colour even more! Cheers
Was yelling at you: PULL THE YELLOW TAB! To remove the plastic. LOL! Got the reverse panda Q myself as I have a Pagani panda. Love both! It does wear a bit heavy on the wrist though. You'll notice that if you have to shake something.
Lmfao, I actually saw that but what they did on mine was they out that yellow tab under another piece of folded wrap, technically that should have been the last layer so I can peel it. My goodness Timex!! Lol
@@timefliesby-jleo474 LOL! I've struggled with getting the plastic off other brands but, on my two Timex Qs, the yellow tabs were placed correctly and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it made the task. :)
@@sagarverma1489 Hi Sagar: Have both in front of me right now. They seem more alike than different, but . . . The Pagani has screw pins which made sizing really easy. The Timex bracelet has push pins. The Pagani has reassuring clicks on the pushers. The pushers are also screw down which may, or may not, be a big deal depending on how much you are concerned about water resistance. I find the screw downs a bit of a nuisance myself but others might consider them a definite advantage. The Timex pushers seem a bit less "clicky." The start button does not click at all. The reset button, otoh, clicks nicely. Why the difference? Only Timex knows. The Timex does not have a flyback reset. This, IIUC, means it is NOT a mechaquartz. The Pagani is a mecha and has the instantaneous flyback on reset. Does that matter? Not to me. The Timex has that easy-change battery access port. Of course, the Pagani does not. Overall, I'd give the win for build quality to the Pagani. That said, I love both and have no regrets about buying both. If I could have only one? It's a toss up. I'd be happy with either. PS: The lume on the Timex is markedly poorer than that on the Pagani.
You made the right choice. A bracelet at that price point would have left you very bummed out, and you would have switched it onto a strap anyway. I just watched another video review of a Timex chrono with the sub-dails like a Zenith… the guy said his bracelet jingled and jangled so much, you can tell it’s low quality! Enjoy your watch knowing you dodged a bullet 👍🏾
@@timefliesby-jleo474 Good as diving that deep requires specialized training and very specialized equipment. It also requires a long duration of decompression unless, of course you’re free diving.

I’ve asked Timex if they sell the bracelet for this separate but no answer. The strap is actually okay, it’s worked in and the leather looks like it will hold up. Cheers

1:00 That’s a Panda.

I’m looking to see if Timex will sell the bracelet separately
@@timefliesby-jleo474 I'm interested to see what you find. I found a Vario leather strap that works pretty well.
@@halfpastblog I have to get some 18mm straps but then it’s too narrow, I like how it flares out from the lugs to crate that tapered look
@@timefliesby-jleo474 Ya a straight 18 doesn't cut it.

I seriously want the bracelet version for my cream dial!
Nice! Congrats on the new watch.
Thanks, in a rush trick or treating and then I start overnight shifts again for a week or so.
For the price, Pagani Design 1701 is the pick. Pagani Design 1701 also has different variants to choose from, too.
It’s been a fun watch both of them actually. I have t felt the need or urge to add any other Mecha Quartz to my collection! Cheers

Hi Terry, how do the Pagani and timex compare in terms of built quality, consistency, etc. of the watch and bracelet?

Thanks man, I believe I made the right choice as well. For me it’s dial over bracelet for sure, when choosing a timepiece
Can you just leave the big seconds hand running at all times? Like a normal seconds hand
Yup, but the battery depending on use, will be less than 2/3 yrs lol
I was looking at the same exact two watches. If I had to pick only one, which do you recommend? Thx 😊
For sure the Timex, I’m so surprised how it’s held up so far, even brought it on vacation and wore it a lot!
@@timefliesby-jleo474 thank you so much for the quick feedback. I placed the order for the Timex accordingly 😇🤗

Great review, I thought the crystal was mineral? Not acrylic
Acrylic all the way and for the better, mineral is tough to deal with
The black watch was of which brand nd model?
Pagani design speed master pro homage from Ali express. I’m my opeonion best value for money for what you get. Thx
Timex so it can take a licking and keep on ticking. Historic USA brand.
It’s been my favourite one so far
5:06 how often do you dive to 100 meters? That’s 328 feet
Never have and never will! It’s just a feature I probably mentioned

don't like the lugs won't be buying one of those
Can you make a promise to never make another video again?! This was painful to watch!!!
It has almost 20k views but sure, thanks. I guess, alright. Cool man. I will keep making videos, maybe worse than this. Thanks for the support.
