I buy homage watches so that I don't have to buy the real thing! I find it funny the people that say, you will never be happy with an homage, you will always be longing for the real thing. That's ridiculous! I'm extremely happy with all my homage watches and I feel like a genius with all the money I have saved.

Couldn't agree more. By not buying the Breitling, I practically made thousands of dollars! 😂

I love this watch! I have a few mechanical homage chronographs. My favourite is the San Martin 62 mas which is the watch seiko should have made!

I'm curious if Seagull will ever try their hands at making an automatic chrono movement. Brands like San Martin, and Seagull itself, have shown that there is a good market for "upscale" Chinese watches that cost a fair bit more than these ~$200 ones, so I think it could be done in a ~$350-$500 watch. The only real question is are they capable of designing an automatic chronograph movement? They couldn't just slap on a module to the ST19, since it's already a pretty thick movement. But they've already designed their own standard automatic movements that aren't just clones of a Swiss or Japanese movement, so that experience, plus the experience of building the Venus chrono movement clones, might be enough to pull it off.

Sugess did a chrono with a DanDong 7750 clone inside (not my favorite), other chinese brands have their own 7750 clones ... so i dont think Seagull will produce "another" 7750 clone 🤔
Note there exists (was existing) a rare "Seagull ST1940" automatic movement : a ST1901 + an automatic bridge on top of the chrono part (with a rotor on top of that) : i never seen one of them however 😪

@@SQueme Wow, didn't know about the ST1940. I found a watch with one that's available right now, the Vesuviate Attivo-Chrono. And it's not as thick as I expected for just slapping on an automatic module on top of an ST1901, at 14 mm. I was expecting something more like 16 mm, since a lot of ST19 watches are already at over 13 mm thick.

@@Justin.Franks I was sure the full ST1940 chrono watch was ~17mm thick ? so you have a model with less than that ? please could you send me the link for this "Vesuviate Attivo-Chrono" characteritics please ? 🙏

@@SQueme Links will get caught in the spam filter. Just Google "Vesuviate Attivo-Chrono", and it should be the first result. And there are also a few fairly recent reviews of it on RUclips. I'm not a fan of the styling, but it is an ST1940 watch that is available to buy right now. I was definitely surprised at the thickness. One reviewer said it was 14.5 mm, not the 14 mm stated by the manufacturer, but even that is thinner than I would have expected.

If I wear this watch while keeping the movement face upwards then will it going to damage the movement or not?

Only if you actually hit against anything, simply wearing it flipped around should be fine!
