- Here is an early Golden Book Video Classic, "The Poky Little Puppy's Favorite Stories" (formerly released as "3 Best-Loved Golden Stories").
The third and final part of the video here features another inbetween-bumper, and then "Little Toad to the Rescue," in which a small toad must try and save the pond area from a terrible drought.
BTW, the narrator sounds very familiar. Is that Pat Buttram? And observe as they mistakenly call a butterfly's chrysalis a "cocoon!"
Special thanks to my good friend doughnutser256 for supplying the video.

The "HORNETS ON MY BACK?!?!?!?!" segment was the funniest in this entire book.
Thank you so much for uploading a piece of my childhood! The beginning of this episode still gives me the creeps, lol!
Thank you for uploading these! I had them on VHS and I used to watch them over and over. It's so nice to be able to just come online and find them all here.
Thank you so much for uploading this in much higher quality than last year, it brings back all kinds of memories. I also grew up watching "Scuffy the Tugboat" and other stories, which contains the same exact duo of commercials that the second story is inbetween.
I had this on VHS as a kid. The other two stories were nice, but this story made me feel physically ill and gave me nightmares.
....It still kinda creeps me out. Thanks for uploading!
melody m mine 2 but I don't have that anymore.
I Love how Little Toad Saved the Garden from that Terrible Drought
I loved this story!!!
yes me too. what good memories thank u
Rita Horbatiuk me 3 in my autism childhood life.
The credits are unique at 8:59-9:03 because they state that someone named Rachel Kinch played the fiddle in the background and these types of credits don't normally list something like that.
Good times. Good times.
R.I.P. Pat Buttram
I am guessing here but I think the Grasshopper narrating was voiced by the late Pat Buttram from Green Acres fame.
I remember having this VHS Tape
My childhood is back!
@Forever19his Have you ever seen the Amye Rosenberg one with the Little Red Hen on it? Only the "killers" versions of those three stories have been uploaded yet but I'm sure I'm not the only one waiting for the real versions to show up (which will hopefully be before August 27th the date of my trip).
Monique was also the name of the little black girl from the Safety Kids series.
@doughnutser256 When I transferred my own DVD of "Three Sesame Street Stories" I added the two inbetween bumpers onto it and I bet you have no idea how I did it. Although adding the line "I hope she's not watching porn" onto the GBVK versions was kind of inappropriate.
4:10 sounds like turkey in the straw
Hey, how about including those APM cue IDs here too?

+Richard Canipe Who's Pat Buttram? Sorry that he died. =(
He was on "Green Acres," but you might remember him as the Sheriff of Nottingham of Disney's "Robin Hood," Luke of "The Rescuers," The Chief of "The Fox and the Hound," and Cactus Jake of "Garfield and Friends!"
LOL at 00:10...now that will scare the kids.
What’s the song from when he first meets the caterpillar
"Playing with Toys" by John Fiddy. You might remember it from SpongeBob with that kid's "I had four biscuits, and I ate one. Then I only had three!"
Would be nice, I sorta wonder what was that track at the start and end of this story as I noticed it was used on this record too!

Do crows eat toads?
Yes
Noticed the track at the open and end of this story was used for this record used as a kiddie meal freebie from the 70's!
