-71 below? That's nothing. I live in Grand Marais (was surprised to hear us in this!) Minnesota, we're looking at -50 with wind chills this week. We survive just fine.

@@anotherrandomasian I unfortunately don’t have the privilege of living in the plains, I’m stuck in the mountains. So -30 to -40 is a not infrequent occurance during the peak of winter

Have you seen the images of houses being frozen under 1 meters of ice , it was around minus 30°C I think , in this scenario, it’s around minus 90°C

If I had to put a temp on when things get really bad in the northern US/Canada, its -44F/-42C. That's the temp at which propane turns to liquid, and all the farms and houses that have furnaces fuelled by an exterior propane tank shut down because there's no more propane gas, it's all a puddle of liquid propane at the bottom of the tank

I wish I had the tech and time to make spooky things. Once made a drawing that could easily be turned into one of these.

My only gripe with this scenario is the snowfall warning. It doesn't snow after once it gets that cold. What snow would fall at the early stages could absolutely accumulate in 5 ft drifts though with wind gusts that high, so that still tracks!
Temperature in the mid -40C... happens multiple times per year here in Manitoba. Lol

we got a cold weather warning recently. it was btoadcast a few days in advance, so we didn't need the esa. i had to spend a few hours outside throwing snow around the base of my house. i feel sorry for these guys, esa warning means it hit them too fast to prep.

Temperatures will get down to -46 had me chuckling a little bit. We get that or close to every year. We're out hovelling walks in that temperature. 😂 (Don't get me wrong that's cold and unpleasant but as long as your not outside for too long you'll be fine.) Regardless still enjoyed this one and the rest of your vids!
In a way this nearly happened in 2021 because I remember in Febuary or January there was a bigg freeze with snow that snowed everyone in their homes and caused other problems
