When day breaks is always one of those SCP that you wonder how to survive, but it’s literally just not possible

This SCP is something that nobody would likely be able to survive unless they were already underground and were heavily secured.
The monsters would get you soon enough. Even when you die you would turn from sunlight. Maybe going to space into an area where the sun wouldn't ever get could let you die in peace.
and self reliant too if they just had a bunker it wouldn't work it would eventually get breached or they'd starve to death or die of dehydration you'd need a filtration system of some kind and a farm that you can eat the plants out of if this scp happened dying of old age would be the goal
If you are a worker in a scp facility that has the geneva song you could grow food and plants to make water and humidity to refine it to water

Honestly it would be Interesting to see an EAS on another SCP-001 proposal "The World's Gone Beautiful", how it starts reporting suspicious flowers pretty much everywhere, then it's like "we are all gonna die!" but suddenly turns into positive messages.

@@neisvestno2444 well the SCP is kinda vauge on what it is a bit. its said the world will 100% end after the flowers but its not explained if its just instant ending or if the real hell starts after that day. it could be the scarlet king decides to increase the amount of trolling he does to reality and turns reality to hell, it could be just thanos snaps twice and everyone peacefully disintegrates. we really don't know and its not the point of the SCP

@@sovietunion7643 The point is that, no matter what, before an extinction event, the flowers would bloom so as to make the passing easy on humanity. It doesn't say anything specific causes it, just that it's a phenomenon that will occur.

This is creepier when you realize it's not using as many as the other videos usually do, it's using all of them so close together time-wise, and making as little of the emergency noises as possible, just enough to get YOUR attention. It's making sure the creatures are less likely to follow the sounds.

Don't worry. Depending on how old you are, you may never need to worry about it. The last EAS mentions an 8G network. Going at the current rate of mobile network numbers, there is 1 new network available to the public about once a decade (10 years). Considering that it takes a few years after first commercial availability, typically around 5 years or so, we can expect day to break in about 30 to 35 years. If the average life expectancy in the US is 79 years (as of 2015), Then, to avoid this disaster entirely, you would have to be 44 years old. So, if anyone watching this video is 44 or older, you don't have to worry about day breaking within your lifetime (unless you end up living for a long time).

Imagine how scary this would be, especially if you have family on the surface
It would be sad
At first It will make you feel worried and curious what happened to them since there is no way to contact anyone on the surface without going outside, but once you get the information you either be terrified for your whole life knowing the fact that your whole family has turned into an abomination melting flesh creature and maybe grateful that God gives you more time to live even if it's only couple of days.

To be honest if your like 50 feet down inside a personal bunker with something like self-sustaining farm (like growing trees for oxygen and growing crops for food etc) while maintaining sanity I think you can live peacefully I guess

If SCP facilities can be breached by them, so do your personal bunker. If not, then you're safe and sound in your bunker.

When Day Breaks is the only SCP I've actually had nightmares about, after watching and reading many videos and stuff about it, I wasn't able to sleep well for a week or two. It didn't help that it was the peak of summer and there were alot of supermoons which makes the moon look red right?
Yea, I agree that I may have been a little too paranoid about this funny little fictional scenario but something just really struct and hit me, it never happened for any other eldritch horrors I have read/watched about and I have a genuine fear of When Day Breaks. It's like a Hell on Earth, even the dead isn't safe.

Honestly, “When Day Breaks” and “After the Rain” are the most terrifying scenarios to ever have been thought of. Like imagine being hit with a single drop of water and that being the cause of your inevitable death without knowing? Or being in a scenario where even trying to imagine how you would survive in that scenario seems impossible? Very scary stuff indeed.
To be brutally honest with you, if something this horrifying ever happened in real life, I would snap mentally. I'd immediately kill myself, or succumb to this event or the rain one. I wouldn't mentally be able to handle the end of the world. My family, friends, everything I know and love are gone. The human race is extinct, except for me. Nope, I'd walk outside and embrace the same fate, if I didn't die immediately in the onset of the event. Just terrifying to think about.

@@gamesnig Yeah, but from what I gather, they seem to almost be parasites of some description. They can sound (kinda) like the person, and seem like it's still them, but it isn't. I could be misinterpreting it, but I feel like if I succumbed to it, I'd die, but whatever it is would live on and parrot my thoughts/voice/words/actions/etc.

I always wondered how non-governmental entities would react to the beginning of 001, and this Scenario shows it pretty well.

when day breaks is the scariest scp because its just impossible to survive, even if you make it past the initial sun waves, everything you know and love will be destroyed and you will be hunted by blobs of flesh who can literaly revive you if you try take your own life to make you into another blob
There are hundreds of SCPs that are impossible to survive.
Unsurvivable SCPs are very tame. Its much more terrifying when you can indeed survive, because then all the pressure is on you.
What about when I hide under my blanket?

What about if you have hypothetically, a machine that will inject you with a lethal injection, and after you die, and it's confirmed, it burns your body to just ashes. Or maybe a colony on the dark side of the moon with solar panels set up by robots on the light side to power the station?
This scp is terrifying no matter where you hide you will eventually be found so you can run but not can’t hide.

This is honestly one of if not the best EAS related channels the amount of detail and effort put into every one of them bravo!
I absolutely love how most of these eas scenarios don’t just take place in one’s house, but also in public too. Subways, Malls, Shops, etc.

The droning noise in the background really helps create an unsettling atmosphere. Really good video! Like another comment said, really creative to make more "specialized" emergency broadcasts for areas that are likely to survive the initial event
For a while, I’ve kind of thought how did so many people survive the beginning of when day breaks and then I guess this kind of answers my question as a lot of people who are already on the surface in a house or not would still be dead, but I guess the whole train thing kind of makes sense

One thing, though: for the mining broadcast message (around 4:40), wouldn't it make more sense to avoid consuming the non-perishables first over the perishables? As in, perishables would go bad first. Unless I missed something?

This girl named Yuki who has white hair that covers her face and white skin with red and black eyes who works at a clothing shop (CEO of Yuki's Cotton Sweaters) and she swears it's cotton but when her workers aren't good she skins them and uses the organs and muscle tissue to donate to fast food and meat stores and she crushes the bones to sell to museums labeled as "dinosaur bone dust" and she ruins the reputation and whoever talks about it suffers the same thing that her workers do and if nobody does that she steals children and skins them does nothing with the rest of them.

I love when day breaks so much. Such a good SCP
SOMA is also one of my favorite games and has a really well made when day breaks mod. Its short and matches the original story but its very nice.
So the Sun goes Defcon-1 and just obliterates a large majority of life on Earth while turning their melted remains into zombie slime things. That's friggin' terrifying

I believe you can be resurrected, and that's the horror. There's literally no way to survive unless you completely destroy your body.
You would need to destroy the brain, preferably completely as we don't know if they can revive/regrow lost gray matter. Immolation is your best bet since good luck trying to salvage anything from a pile of ash, weather it be pre or post mortem
You'd need to have all your organic matter destroyed or be lucky enough for none of the entities to notice the noise so you can decompose in peace

always wondered how anyone would figure out how this anomaly works without being able to go outside, and if they did figure it out how do they set up the emergency services they do or even get the message about it out
Most likely an automated system as the SCP would know beforehand and tell all government officials to make these broadcasts.
This SCP is the most horrifying.
The one from the minery comoany is specially scarier when you think on the miner. Imagine seeing that alert, they don't say what the hell is happening outside, only that you are completely alone on this and that you have 38 hours to live. Imagine those last hours, food, water and oxygen getting low, people getting crazy inside there, maybe killing eachother. Imagine dying alone, suffocating, knowing damn well that no rescue team is coming for you. Hell, maybe, that team didn't exist at all. You die suffocating, starving, with the thirst also killing, and all of this as you wonder why are you sealed in there, and without knowing if your family and friends are alive at this point.

I'm a couple months late, but to be honest, SCP - 001 is my favorite SCP that i have ever researched about. An SCP that takes one of the most prioritized thing that we have on earth, the Sun, and turning it against us, it's just so interesting to look at. It's basically putting humanity in a place where even if they didn't die at the get go, eventually they will inevitably die off until nobody is left from humanity. You can't even kill yourself, as they would just revive you and turn you into one of them as well. I can't imagine if this actually happened in real life, the world as we know it would actually be just a wasteland. You rocked the way that I feel like that some areas would actually inform the people that are there about what happened and how they could possibly survive, but unfortunately, nobody could survive.

Man this is just a dark topic to think about. Everyone outside is just dead, and going outside is death. I think the only possible way anyone could survive is just that somehow someone has an underground greenhouse and everyone around them will survive but no one else would ever be able to survive, not people in mines, underground metros, or even Alabamans

The creepiest part of when day breaks is the “goo” entities are sentient and pretend that they are your loved ones and have entered a higher stage of existence. They will beg you to come out and insist they are helping you.
It’s also creepy how loud the entities are-they all retain their normal voices and Moan in unison while mixing together.

Another excellent video. One thing is pretty interesting in the metro they know what is happening but in the mine they do not known and just waiting for help which never arrive.
