Here's a fairly short clip I recorded during an unbugged station CZ instance.
The first victory for humanity in the Second Thargoid War was just achieved in HIP 23716. HIP 23716 is one of the first systems to be attacked following the Taranis Maelstrom's arrival. Wakata Station, one of the system's last operational starports was heavily defended by the Elite Dangerous community in a concentrated defence headed by the Anti Xeno Initiative and following the next server tick, has driven out the Thargoid invaders. HIP 23716 is the first in a long line of victories for humanity and will serve as a monument to our triumph in the Second Thargoid War.
Wakata forever!!
If you set your reticule to lag instead of lead, you'll more easily be able to place those shards on target instead of peppering the interceptors. Faster you dispatch hearts, the faster they die. Works great with modified shards and modified plasma chargers. By setting it to lag, you just need to put the dots on the heart and appropriate lead angle is already calculated in.
I love trailing sights but on my fdl with plasma chargers the reticule ALWAYS ends up in the metal cockpit window divider its soo irritating :D
I was there with my cutter, the NWS Athena, my first taste of AX combat
I fought and i bled, chased the damn bugs to half a dozen other systems after that, and now i am right back there where it all started
Wakata forever cmdrs o7
Wakata forever!
And a month afterwards, the system is being attacked again. I get the feeling we’ll be fighting here a lot in the future
Only if us console players could’ve helped. Alas FDev threw us under the bus so Our otherwise eager squadron would’ve helped. But instead you decided to kill 2/3rds of your player base by not giving us Odyssey
seriously man. its a pretty bad move to just get rid of a massive chunk of players by abandoning their version of the game.
Why is it only when i play, i have to deal with 8+ thargon swarms all at once, but for everyone else, its just strolling in the park with lmb-spam-killing interceptors?
Wakata system and while you're at it, here's some black paint for your ship you can buy. Like that was just a coincidence.
WAKATA FOREVER!!!!! 😁
Wakata Forever

I helped liberate HIP 23716 and Wakata, what happens with all the lil sub systems from the invasion? We now gotta take those systems back now too?

good to see the aliens dying
“A fairly bugless instance”
Yep, that sums up the event in my experience, this shit is a mess
I wish I knew where to start with thargoid hunting. I've been playing Elite since it came out, got a pretty badass FDL for bounty hunting and some PVP but I have no idea where to begin with this stuff. Like I see all the AX weapons, but is it worth it to use the regular ones? Or do I need Guardian stuff? Which weapons do I need on my ship to successfully kill thargoids? There's so many of them and they all seem to have different purposes, just wish someone would make a getting started guide for it all.
The guardian weapons are always going to be better than the normal human AX weapons at killing interceptors but the AX multis are still serviceable for AX combat. The three guardian weapons all good for killing thargoids, it just depends on personal preference. Its pretty much railguns, frag cannons or plasma chargers. The most meta are the gauss cannons for their high damage output and accuracy.
Take a look at AX tutorial videos, they should help clear some more things up, and if you have more questions, ask away in the Anti Xeno Initiative discord here - discord.gg/bqmDxdm
I think in the time I spent mainly killing interceptors in the challenger I earned 1 billion.
i was there
Was the station shooting the Tharp to or no because if so that’s cool
yep, it was mainly shooting at thargoid scouts though
how is his ship cooling so quickly ?
going to guess thrmo vent on the laser, yeah checked the build, thermo vent on the beam, same as i run on mine
Thermanl Vent beam and Armored G5 Thermal Spread powerplant
Most AX ship builds have a Thermal Vent Long Range/Overcharged Beam laser
Actually I saw quite a few bugs in this video.
I’ll let myself out.
Notice the heat sink signal on the left side of the HUD? Watch that as the heat gets to be too much and you'll see it get deployed.
Genuine curious noob question: is the beam useful against them?
it’s engineered with thermal vent, so it basically sinks my heat into the thargoid, reducing my heat and making me more stealthy against them
Is this at the main bubble, or the smaller one near colonia
The main bubble
@@Neutronic01 oh shit. Thanks!
what is your tip for mouse config/sense?
I got 65million in bonds just by killing scouts around the station
I will say, this title is a little misleading. Remember in 3151, we did a genocide to the Thargoids
And frankly, they would have invaded us regardless
I’m not entirely sure you can justify calling the Thargoid response towards humanity an invasion. Humans saw alien stuff and started poking and prodding.
@@kreadapelu8813 they are a threat and always have been a threat
@@KryptSol if by threat you mean “will defend themselves from attack and pillaging,” sure
Uhhh…. Thargoids = Non peaceful life forms when searching to expand. They don’t even do diplomacy and yet the humans are the bad ones? Regardless of human “Prodding “ thargoids were Guaranteed to attack once they knew there was a species with a chance to advance beyond them. Simple solution? Destroy the species while expanding.
