  • I’d never heard of one till about a year ago, and then more recently a club member made one and that intrigued me enough to want to check them out myself.
I started with a half rib rocker that I have to say worked perfectly with elliptical 45mm wide ribs, I did 100 miles last Saturday with no issues at all.
I also started a full rocker last week too and after 4 coats of varnish it’s now finished
    18mm Birch Ply,
Both boards are varnished with 4 coats
Bottom board is then covered with Rhino rubber matting that my trainer was originally stood on.
Under the bottom board there are 16off 14mm rubber feet.
Top board is covered with my club design Pain Train Lincoln, it’s a vinyl wrap and was incredibly easy to fit thanks to Peter Harrison for the wrap.
I bolted the Neo 2T rubber feet to the board with an 11mm off set, then sat the trainer straight onto the feet, no need for any holes or strapping at all.
It’s using the 50mm vibration mounts to pivot, I may add the 20mm ones to these making 70mm mounts, that in itself may give me all the fore/aft I need.
I have bought balls and barrow inner tubes, and I’m trying the tubes first, first trial seem very good I’ll give them a week then try the balls.
I bought the Sturzo steerer to go on the front but sent it back after being dissatisfied with it, so I have fixed the feet of the Tacx front wheel riser onto a piece of 6mm ply covered with the same rhino matting then fixed that to an ultra thin industrial lazy susan, I prefer both my wheels to be the same height to keep my back used to the same position as I am on the road, so I will make 4 round aluminium extension feet 30mm high for the Neo then bolt everything again through the Neo rubber feet.
In time I will probably convert it to a fore/aft purely to see what all the fuss is about, at least then I can say I have tried the three main designs
indoor cycling, indoor cycling workout, spin class, indoor cycling motivation, indoor cycling training, cycling at home, virtual cycling, spin bike workout, indoor bike workout, cycling workout for beginners, Zwift cycling, Peloton workout, spin class workout, home fitness, indoor cardio workout, cycling for weight loss, stationary bike workout, indoor cycling tips, indoor cycling intervals, cycling music playlist, turbo trainer workout, indoor cycling for endurance
