Happy to see the Victory performing well in the tests, it's making a mockery of the Wahoo unit pricing and particularly the outlandish pricing of Tacx. Really hoping JetBlack can make a major success of this trainer and establish themselves as the benchmark not only for features and performance but also for fairer pricing! I'm sure there will be some Wahoo/Tacx pushback about it doing "only 1800w" and "only 16% inclines", but seriously for anything other than seriously top class riders that is plenty

Well, I dunno. Let's see how reliable they are first. I mean Wahoo's biggest claim to fame isn't making robust reliable products is it? It's sending out replacements for broken ones without fuss. Ultimately for that to be profitable they are pricing to accommodate the high return rate. So, either Jet are super reliable and cheap, in which case Wahoo are screwed. Or Jet'll have just as many junk ones as Wahoo - maybe more. At which point either they'll replace them as swiftly and readily as wahoo do (and lose money) or end users will be screwed. Call me a cynic but I don't believe there's a high probability this firm has created a more reliable product that's undercutting everyone else - that makes no sense.
Remember that the core looked like a cheaper than chips game changing trainer when it first appeared, but the first lot turned out to be junk and even now a lot of end users (myself included) have to do fixes for things.
It's like zwift rides seem to be cheap tat, they can't even deliver all the parts, they don't sell spare parts and the parts on the "bike" are all non standard. So, sure it's cheaper than a wattbike atom but it's not really a threat to the latters business is it?

Great review and I am excited to purchase one, but they are sold out in the US and they are not taking backorders, so no way to even place an order and have it delivered in the future. I suspect the $399 is an introductory price and the price will increase when they make it available for future orders. Oh well, I guess I will either have to wait until some undermined date in the future or consider other options, not knowing when more may be available.

Please register your interest and you will be notified as soon as the site is open again. The US$399 price is not introductory but will be the ongoing price. Thanks for your excitement and we look forward to getting you your Victory as soon as possible.

Combine this with the Ride frame, take peace with some more noise (but still well acceptable i think) and you can see quite some money. Now where did I put my decision tree on my next purchase... Of course we are talking about a complete different technology stack and ride feel. Would you have doubts in you were in my position today?
