@@ZodiacBandit I think they’re a bot with how often they’ve been replying the exact same thing when it doesn’t seem to fit the context 100% of the time
Honestly I love everything about this. Love the vibe, background music, how the system has developed so far, and how refreshed everyone looks when they play Daggerheart.
So excited! I absolutely loved the Menagerie and can’t wait to see more of them! Ran the 1.0 and 1.3 playtests with my players and they absolutely loved it too!
So my dnd group have been using dagger heart for the past 3 sessions and so far we all love it, we’ve made a few videos on our options but so far we like it and have given plenty of feedback
What I love about leveling up in Daggerheart from what I'm seeing here is the shear amount of choices you can make every level up. Really lets the character feel like your own.
13:15 - Wait wait wait, that is an EXCELLENT way to get rid of a body. Just ask it some pointless question and bam dusted, nobody'll be any wiser. Seraphs gonna be in high demand for organized crime groups.
The rate at which they are polishing and improving this system is amazing. This is the kind of quality control that only comes from people who are passionate about their work
Can't wait for the continuation of the adventures of the dandy man turtle, the monkey holy man, the frog and shroom dynamic duo, the beetle fairy wizard, the fashionista giant, and public domain Jessica Rabbit.
even if they don't pick daggerheart for c4 (i'm a truther for it but it might not be ready by then) i really hope they continue to showcase some of the changes in the open beta through the wacky adventures of the menagerie!
The Hype! It returns! Seriously, I’m excited. I LOVED the first playtest. Probably watched or listened to it half a dozen times. So, I’m looking forward to tonight’s show. Sadly, I’ll be at work, but I’ll catch it on VoD.
I love y'all, and love the concept of this game. I am in tears because I got so close to being a part of your beta test (I haven't played any TTRPG since the 80's), I got a group together for a session zero, I brought the play test documents for Daggerheart, the 2014 D&D books, a Cyberpunk Red box set, and a few other smaller Kickstarter books so we had options, unfortunately the person I found to play GM decided (without any discussion) that we were going to play his personal version of Shadowdark, where we could only choose between human dwarf or elf, and only fighter rogue or bard, and we had to do a gauntlet to start and if we didn't survive we would have to repeat the gauntlet solo until we did. Apparently he's one of those"biker D&D" punish the players guys, I apologized to my friends (who were all looking at me like"wtf man!?! This isn't what you told us we were going to be doing") I am still going to try but I think I might have lost the group, we're all old and even getting everyone together for that took months, I am heartbroken and embarrassed. I just want to pretend to be someone else with friends who want to have fun and support each other, and feel cool for a bit, why is that so hard? Ugh
Well, you might have an easier time convincing them to come back if you decided to take over as GM. That way you can promise more freedom/tell them the vibe that your game is going for. If you’re the one who bought a lot of the books, and are here, you probably knows it best. It might seem a little daunting, but you probably have the best shot to make the game you want to play.
@@andyspillum3588 Out of curiosity, do you guys play in person or online? If you're having trouble getting everyone together physically, online might be a better option. There's lots of online platforms and as an older TTRPG gamer I've found online easier to manage schedule-wise. My friends and I usually manage a once per week game lasting anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. We do a weekly email to confirm everyone can make it that week, and if not we do our best to find an evening that works for everyone.
@@Amrylin1337 The problem was 1 person making decisions without any discussion, I brought a myriad of choices for All of us to discuss and collectively decide on what system we were collectively most interested in playing. Even the system he (alone) picked, he (again without any discussion) limited choice of ancestry and class. I (and by their reactions the rest of the players) want to pretend to be in a world where our choices matter. If I want to have 1 guy making decisions that everyone else has to inact, I'll just go to work. But thank you for illustrating that authoritarian bullshit is still prevalent in TTRPG
Excited for the next game! 🎉 Regarding the Rapier’s “Quick” Feature, “Mark a Stress to attack an additional target in range.” Will this wording be clarified in v1.5 to reflect that it uses the same roll as the initial attack?
"Final Words" is still broken. Not for its intended use, but it can also get rid of any bodies the group would leave behind as evidence -or just get rid of them so they don't take up space.
Ashley picking stealth/mobility domain cards is so on point with her character and her relationship with Laura's character. I can picture Laura's rogue teaching her things and her coming up with her own way of doing it. It would make sense for them to share some common traits, strengths, or weaknesses. Ashley is always so great at doing amazing things and not realizing how amazing it is.
Combat Training: Ignore burden when equipping weapons. (Only Primary weapons have 2 handed burden and per Primary weapon rules, can only have 1). So did Matt mispeak on able to weild 2 primary weapons or are the rules in 1.4 manuscript in error? Still a cool ability to have a 2 hander in one hand and a tower shield or secondary weapon in the other.
I am already looking forward to campaign 4! With all the bad things happening around the other game and the timing of this one's progress I believe that it's not much of a stretch to predict that campaign 4 will be under Daggerheart rules. 😀
If I’m understanding correctly the veil of shadow is a wall. The thing I’m thinking about, is if it is a 6 inch tall wall. A normal sized creature that was 30 ft. away they could just take a few steps forward and know they have line of sight to the tiny creature behind the wall. I don’t know maybe make it a 6 inch cube.
I don't dislike campaign 3, but honestly, I hope they switch to Daggerheart and a new setting (or what will be left of Exandria) for their main game when they're done with C3.
To be honest I’m really excited for them to return to this campaign but I still think the armor system needs work maybe gaining automatically gaining additional armor slots at certain levels will help. Also I don’t think the rogues minor threshold should be 1 but that’s probably just me. Another also the book of Korvax just made me think of chaotic when there on the beach trying to find his treasure 😆
That's great! That proficiency automatically increases as you level up! It was very hard to make characters not so squishy at the cost of losing proficiency. I find it also that the Minor threshold to Major is insanely high. At higher levels, you will be taking 2 damage every time you get hit. I made a lvl 10: Orderborne Elf Seraph (WINGED SENTINEL) with 3 MINOR | 24 MAJOR | 43 SEVERE. That is a spread of 21 and 19. I think the minor threshold should increase with your level regardless of class to where you will have at least a base of 10 at level 10.
marisha'a choice of hypnotic shimmers..anything similar to lotr, frodo getting stabbed in mines of moria and all the team seams to have a round of rage.....perhaps you have something else that is like that....would be cool to see....with a bard, palidin....something that gives the team that bonus on some perilous encounter
How many levels are there? Is there a limit? If there is, will it be expanded to higher levels later on? (Basic D&D had five sets of books, each covering a series of levels, about 10 each book if memory serves) It feels like each level adds a lot.
