I like how Tanto brought up the intelligent conversations had in the service. I had in depth conversations about philosophy in the classroom in college. But years before that I had incredibly more in-depth ones inside of gun mounts, and chowing down on MREs sitting on a RHIB. Good interview

It takes commitment to sit through their podcasts. Honestly, it's better than all the action movies because it's literally all the dudes that they're based on. Part of me wishes these guys were running for office. But after their long careers, I understand that they're probably over it when it comes to government bullshit. Whether you lean left or right, so many of these guys cut right through the center to the heart of the matter and would be waaaay better than most politicians as the man on the button.

Speaking of “could the US actually send any units in time to Benghazi to help”… Mike Glover has talked about this on a few different podcasts. The reason he left the Army at the end of his career is because the CIF unit he was in charge of standing up in North Africa, refused to deploy that day. He was pissed about it. Rightfully so.

Seals/sf/delta are not set up to fight a damn large force. Rangers are the best SOF for going up against large forces up until a point then you call in 82nd/101st airborne/10th mountain. But the rescues Rangers are the best as far as not getting outnumbered. We just don’t have enough seals/delta/Devgru/12 man ODA Det. Yes the CIF is a response force but Rangers are still a larger quantity. Sometimes quality doesn’t matter against large forces.

I will not screw anyone's wife !! & I will go to battle with you ... but not over stupid crap !!! Our choice selector isn't broken !!! Yes I have & do choose poor choices !!!! But we aren't with out choices to select from !!! every choice has it's own out come !!! I'm a Veteran also .. It doesn't take much to realize not to do to others what you wouldn't want them to do to you !!! Knowing others choose their own choices ! we do what we have to do & are trained to do in the Army !!! self control is a personal choice ! I'm hard core when it comes to observing others choice selection ... to each their own till it gets real ugly & whom ever becomes the animal we are sent to stop ! I have no issues dealing with animals period ! what ever it takes to stop the aggression ! I have no issues with being the aggressor in battle ... or on a mission , fire fight ... but to kill for killing sake innocent non combative individuals when there's no logical reason to do so just to kill someone not on my watch ! collateral damage happens ! & things do happen .. understandable ... Often the enemy comes in all kinds of forms women & children ... observant & alert do what you can .. enough said I served with all kinds .. those I trust & those I didn't ... everyone of them proved what they are about .. observant & alert ... just did my job !

This is a live show so we're going to have to interrupt at some point before getting back on topic.

I'm a new sub to your channel. Glad he moved on from being the angry Benghazi guy, and the social media circus. I remember when his story came out and SOFREP turned into an anti-Left, pro-Putin, sh!t show.

@@ThisisFerrariKhan everyone is entitled to their opinions. Respecting a career intel officer who became the commander of a near-peer, nuclear-capable nation is not the same as the fan-boy digital fellatios in the Facebook comments section back then. That's the context.

I know its easy to say when you weren't there but its wild to me that none of those CIA folks manned up, grabbed a weapon and at least tried to help. Even if they had limited or no training. Every man helps. (unless they didn't have enough ammo or weapons) 20-30 people and not one of them had the balls to step up and try??? I could be speaking out of my ass but I just don't get it

To be honest, sometimes the “civilians” could be a deadweight, so if you’re not train stay there, because the first thing you are going to do is waste all the ammo, you don’t know how to shoot it’s a long etc. it’s think on the long term
