New Gearbox Pro coming out (new video posted today) and also the Joola is selling the approved Mod TA-15 which is essentially the Gen 3 Perseus without all the colors. I have the old Gearbox Pro and used it for 6 months. Didnt compare with the Gen 3 Perseus due to lower spin and lesser control. It was slightly more powerful than the Gen 3 Perseus but hard to tell. The control and spin made it an easy no brainer to upgrade to the Gen 3. Have the MOD TA-15 on order. Would love to see how the new Gearbox Pro compares. Been using a Thrive Azul since I returned the Gen 3 even over the old Gearbox Pro. I suppose the TA-15 was just availble for pre-order the same day you came out with this. Mine should ship today.

Lmk how the new Joola plays! I doubt I’ll get my hands on one. But I will be making a vid on the new Gearbox!

i play adv interm/low adv rec. one of the best guys in the group uses a power pro. i held it but never played with it yet. its very light, even with corner lead. i was shocked standing at the baseline expecting 90mph and the guy hits this ridic drop shot. he can hit 3rds and dinks. overheads and speedups are absurd. there are a fair number of long shots and the usual mis-hits. USAP's lack of transparency regarding why certain paddles pass/fail the test of the week is going to result in less innovation. I would really like to see (though not optimistic) the Joola lawsuit change the approval procedures so if a paddle is going to fail, the company can know exactly why so, if feasible, companies can adjust the paddle to get it within the legal limits and not waste the technology. LOL, USAP musta forgot about the Coretek paddles.

Yes, I hope USAP gets everything sorted on their end. 🤞

I just wouldn't risk the purchase for another month or so in order to see how things shake out. If it was going to be delisted, it probably would have been by now. but right now with USAP who knows.
Everything I hear about is., is that it is a great paddle.,

I think you’ll see an announcement soon that may give you some reassurance! ;)

The paddle produces a THUNK noise everytime you hit it, Sounds like you're heating a wood paddle. And others like CRBN will have Gen 3 paddles with similar performance to the de-listed Jools's by the end of August.

I agree it makes an unusual sound! I don’t know about the other players, but I don’t think you’ll see a new paddle from CRBN until September at the earliest based off my conversations with someone over there. But I could definitely be wrong!

gearbox pro has more foam than joola gen3s and therefore produces more trampoline effect .. i wonder why usap did not ban this paddle as well .. oh yes, business and politics !! 😂😢😮

The foam is def integrated a lot differently with the Gearbox SST core design than what Joola did with their banned paddles. And I think the business/politics question is an even bigger deal regarding what’s happening with the UPA situation and new paddle approval framework. That’s going to be super bad for small paddle companies… And Joola isn’t helping things with their USPA lawsuit IMO. But that’s just my two cents!

      The Gearbox
has actual technolodigy in their cores...carbon fiber ribs divided into small sections, rubber banding between the sections to separate each individual section. Because the core is made up of these individual sections when hitting the ball the entire core does not flex, only the sections needed depending on where the ball is hit..un like Joola its not just a honeycomb foam filled core with extra foam around edges, throat etc. There is way more going on in Gearbox core than just foam f@@MatthewKPickleball

@@waltlynch5414 Yep! That's correct! Very different core design than just about everybody else!
