Curious how is the midsole? I was tossing around grabbing a pair but reviews say that you feel almost everything you step on. Is that true with the ones you own?
Zips on the side are no good, those merrels were just Hiking boots. YOU CANT BEAT HAIX DESERT BOOTS AND HAIX Jungle boots , there way out last any of those boots you mentioned, if Haix is good enough for the German army , there good for me , THE extremely comfortable as well and wear them all the time
Boots are very much user preference. The only ones I would wear would be the merrells. I am disappointed no Aku boots were mentioned, I’ve been using them for the past 10 years. Salomon speed master are worth a shout too.
what are your suggestions? i really want some, mostly for the style, but also for hiking. i just want a simple black pair that last for a long time and are preferably not a material that shows marks easily
I buy a Bates Manneuver black boots and isn't cheap but, is good boot for use on the shooting field and the work... now i see a boot for go back to the Army (like reserve soldier) and i need a desert boot. Greets from Chile.

Just thought Id give my 2 cents worth. I purchased a pair of RB8806 super comfy for 3 months then where the crease happens where you bend your toes the material started to fray and a moth later there is a large hole. I wrap cars as a job so I guess Im crouching more than most but 4 months is pretty poor! My advice is to shop elsewhere.

Same for me. There are no really good tactical boots in this video. No Lowa, no Haix, no Meindl - WTF?

Rocky boots fall apart in less than one year.
