@mwkan772 I agree I think 80% as a starting point for taunt, and tho +18 is too much it'd make it too easy, maybe +17, but even that may be too lenient
@@mwkan772 not sure about it being too scary though. I mean getting hit with b4 near wall without taunt would still has usual dmg scaling for wall combo anyway. Plus most of the stage now has really big range in between of wall too compared to tekken 7. I do feel its fair enough make the damage scaling starting from 70% but at least make it more lenient or still let the frame as strict as now but damage scaling either start from 80 to 90%. Though tbh there arent that many bryan that can do taunt b4 or even tju consistently online anyway lol
It's still relatively fast unblockable launcher in hand of character who already is scary to press buttons against, since EVERYTHING is launcher, ch launcher, ch move with guaranteed follow-up or simply high damage move with followup. And if his oki at the wall is the same it's still techroll trap, where you can react with d4 if they doesn't roll. And don't forget, you don't have to do b4 or tju, taunt 4,3 is very easy to do. I'm glad they nerf broken stuff.
yeah trying to main Bryan with the TJU is just hard af especially that technically speaking his "pressure is imaginary" not literally but you kinda get the point. And yeah I'm on pad and I have a massive skill issue already on performing the taunt so with this on tekken 8 I might as well change mains again if Devil jin ain't coming back cause sure as heck Noctis won't be featured again lelz. Which is if you ask me why I play Noctis my fighting game buddy uses Kunimitsu and Boi I can't even properly pressure if all of Kuni's Kit are literally Mix ups within Mix ups not to mention if you think she's minus she's "plus" which is welp it is what it is for that character Welp I hope the Dmg gets fixed tho cause more effort but less reward is just not too satisfying I mean I don't want to get wrecked but seeing amazing combos from the opponent is respectable on its own rights even if it's rage inducing lelz.
Is it only me who thinks tekken 8 damage is anemic? Like you do all that effort for 49.... the hell is that. You hit and hit and hit and the health bar barely goes down like sure we shouldnt have tekken tag 2 damage but hell this is pathetic. Most characters have basic combos that barely scratch 50 damage. Thats too too low.
I think the heat mechanics are potentially overpowered so you'd expect base damage to be less than previous games. But lots of balancing still to come for tekken 8
@@mwkan772 Because it's an unblockable launcher that tracks. Hits you if you tech roll and you can cancel from it to gain mix if they are on the ground. This is a very good change for the game. Unfortunately all these good changes are shunned because the system is everything except good.
Tekken 8 tju is greatly nerfed and feelsbad, but i understand why they did it. With heat mechanics and crazy guard frames itd be a nightmare

In past, there was only console game and average skill was lower. Now, 3 frames buffer on tju, especially on a pc - sounds like a cheat)))

harada said that the damage has yet to be properly adjusted. This might be one of the main outliers.
