Gosh as excited as I am for T8, I'm not really excited about the chip damage when on block as this probably was one of the main features that gives Tekken its own flavour. Before one could block all day without any chip damages, but now both players need a whole new defense tactics. Back in TTT2, the health could be recovered, especially when a character is tagged out. I'm all for it when it comes to recovering health bar but not with damage chip when being hit while blocking.
The combo at 3:22 shows a consistent red healthbar, meaning the combo should be natural, but you can clearly see Jack mashing after the heat engager connects. Maybe a bug?
It's not a new one. Some strings make the health bar behave as if it was a natural combo but in reality it isnt. Even for entirely different moves it does this. Try steve's b1,2 and then into peakaboo uf+2. The health bar will react as if it was a natural combo, which would be OP but ut actually isnt natural.
The trailing gauge on healthbar indicates the time period when a character cannot move, it gives no information on whether one can block or not. So judging combo authencity by healthbar can be misleading sometimes.
All these cut scenes in the fight they better have a damn good story ending movies . Not feeling the combos. Let us put the combos together and figure them out . We need you to make sure it works, balance. Fun..
Looks really good. If theyre here to stay, I'm atleast glad they figured out how to choregraph some good looking supers. The Heat system looks weird, especially the dash out of it. How many times in a match are we going to have to see the game pause on a close up because of heat? The SoundFX from the hits are oddly weak this time around.
the zoom in and out, the heat activation that makes the screen blue and zoom in on the character . Yeah that shit is not getting pass alpha. I’m sure beta will remove it.
@Allan Yang No, I could see it staying in the game. It's just something new to spice up the game a little bit, I feel like that's how the devs see it. It's whatever for me, I could also see them making it an option in the settings to turn off, then everyone would be happy.
Guys I have a question, Is heat dash automatic or do u have to press R1 to heat dash after hitting a move. For example, I'm playing King and I need to wall carry the opponent post bound with a f2, 1 while in heat mode. Will king automatically do a heat dash after the move hits or do I make him heat dash? If yes, then doesn't that just waste heat? Cuz I could just wall carry with a regular f2, 1 and then run up and do a heat smash at the wall for insane damage. What I'm trying to ask if heat dash is automatic like heat engagers or not?
@@guilhermearaujo4414 Those r the heat engagers that automatically make u go in to heat. I'm talking about the FADC cancel type dashes called Heat dashes that u can do once in heat mode. U should be able to control if u want to do a heat dash or not for better meter management
In early fighting games even simple combos will deplete a lot of HP in that case if combo end with ultimate moves you are death devs have to sacrifice damage output for fancy combos

One thing that I noticed is that if you have heat and you do a heat engager and let's say it whiffs entirely it consumes part of your heat gauge

I really really dislike how the camera angle does a split second change when a bound/tailspin/flip or whatever is hit. It’s jarring

It is done automatically after certain moves of each characters if I'm not wrong

For certain characters, it seems. They don't seem to have the damage dialed in. Jun and Jin do hardly any damage, while Xiaoyu is a truck.
