Best Skorthopsomo - Garlic Bread

Not an authentic Greek recipe, but a long time part of mom's repertoire that she learned from a family friend. Golden and crispy with a very pronounced garlic flavour. Excellent with grilled meats or fish.
Ingredients:
1 head of garlic, peeled
1/2-3/4 tsp salt, to taste
1 lb (434 gm) unsalted butter
1 loaf of bread, of your choice

Italians don't use garlic bread ... only for tourist at the restaurants ! So is Greek !

Hi Ivan.... you are correct... it isn't Italian... according to research I did, it is an Italo-American invention... go figure.. hahahaha...
