We love Staiths. I normally just drop and run down the hill, saving the long walk. The other side is where we start, over a little bridge to the pier and big rocks. We are normally there for a few hours pottering around.
Great area we visited last year to see our son who lives not far away. We timed it to coincide with a named storm! Walking the dogs on the beach was fun 😱 stunning area though.
We visited Staithes in July this year, had lunch at the Cod & Lobster which was very nice, walk over the bridge and up the road to a great view point and all around the harbour before heading back up the hill to the carpark then drove to Whitby which was the opposite way to which you came.
Looks a nice old village/town. Think I'd visit if I was in the area. And I think I would be just as out of breath 😅. Nothing to do with caravaning. But how's the house move been going? You seem to have been in the van a long time. Hope all is well. It'll soon be time for the tree to go up.

It just like the hoves advert in the olden days where he comes down on a bakers bike and the cobbled stones
