Back from DR, the last 12 days spent on Boca Chica beach were amazing. Temperature, people, resort and staff. No complaints. But the few tips and advice I learned on this channel transformed my stay from amazing to not far from perfect. Some tips may appear. harmless from home. But in the middle of a crowdy and hot pool day. Have your thermos glass with a lid, some 1 dollard bill and master the: muy foerte por favor. This allows you to keep your cocktail cold, to avoid a good dozen trips to the bar and above all not to drink juice. These are small details but they change a beautiful day into a memorable day. The thermos shot is my favorite trick. Thanks for doing what you do so well. You are THE travel reference. Mucos gracias seignior

Found your video by searching Royalton Splash since it has a water park but notice that it's pretty far from the beach. We were going to book excellence but we like to have the option for a Buffet in case we are tired after long day and excellence didn’t have one so we picked rayalton bavaro
they are part of a complex right? so if you stay at bavaro you can go over to punta cana and vice versa without any issues?? also, would you say there's adult entertainment? poolside and evening?

Ohhhh you had a great beach at Bavaro during your visit. In 2019 there was a 3 or 4 foot drop from the palapas to the water. Looks like it dropped down to ocean level on your visit. Diamond Club was a total waste of money. They advertise rooms closer to the pools/beach as a perk. Absolutely not true. Diamond Club is the "experience" we were told. And it wasn't that great or different of an experience. Overall it was good but nothing beats Hard Rock PC... at least in 2017. Keep up the great videos!
Would you recommend Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana OR Royalton Bavaro for a honeymoon? We are Marriott gold elite members, and are booking fully on points! Both hotels are about the same amount of points so we are trying to decide between to two.
I just got back from Royalton Bravo AMAZING resort. Very up to date. And my bf is titanium Marriot member so we were upgraded to diamond club swim up room .. incredible room. Butler service was nice but really not needed but hey it was a free upgrade. All these reviews are very accurate.. average food but that's any island, gorgeous bch water turquoise blue and staff were semi rude but didn't ruin our trip because the resort spoke for itself AMAZING! I would suggest it
Ecpecially for the FREE upgrade being a Marriot bonvoy high level..we used our points ..you can't go wrong with either hotel .. we walked thru the hideaway still very nice 👍
Are you going to Iberostar grand? It's one of the top luxury resorts there.

Hoping you could let me know if the buffets at either resort had crab legs and or lobster. It seems precovid they offered that but not too sure from recent photos that they still are offering that. Looking to book a trip for later this year

This a good question..I just got back from Royalton Bravo not alot of seafood if any ! I luv crab legs and lobster..never once had the entire trip was very shocking..food was average

Punta Cana is better if you have children because you get free access to splash waterpark. Disclaimer on video should be if your a single or don't have kids. I heard the kids activities in Bavaro are not very good.
Check out the Hyatt all-inclusive. Ziva/Zilara brands.

@@jacklawer6389 get a credit card like Citi premier (I think) or chase sapphire preferred-they offer 80k and 100k respectively signup points bonus after you spend 3k in 3 months -or something similar these offers always change. Then you transfer the points to your Hyatt account at a 1:1 transfer and Hyatt. Charges 25k points a night at the ziva. So with 100k bonus points that 4 nights free.

Royalton Punta Cana is a Sh&T Hole compared to Barvaro, just got back from DR for a week and had the worst experience of my life at Punta Cana, just some of the issues, resort ran out of pool towels daily at 3pm at both the pool and water park, AC broken in 4 of the 6 restaurants, its funny the AC in the Casino was always pumping cold air. The Diamond Club pool is an absolute joke, basically its the end of the building with the swim out rooms, no bar no nothing. Ran out of plates for the pool BBQ 4 times in one afternoon, you had to use a napkin or wait 20 min for them to bring more plates. The resort is old, dirty and about a third of the size compared to Bavaro. The grotto and lazy river and all the pools at Bavaro were amazing, the service at Bavaro was much better, more friendly staff and over all a fantastic experience. Both beaches are pretty underwhelming due to seaweed but I felt the chars and beds are Bavaro were much nicer, newer and clean. Not like this at Punta Cana. The gym was a complete disappointment, machines were either broken or old and rusted and the overall size was very small. I would never return, and this is coming from someone who has been to three Royalton resorts and has never seen such a dump. Its not worth the few dollars savings or the water park, the resort is only a 10 min walk from Bavaro so don't let the water park being closer to Punta Cana make you choose the wrong resort, its just not worth it.

@@brookebooth3347 Start with food - well below average, the room (or at least bed which is very firm), cleanliness well below average. You can also add service and quality of drinks and general lack of amenities related to coffee shop and snack. . IF they have the RIU Party going on - its fun but there are so many other properties.

@@briannaturner4684 i've never been to HR even though my cousin is actually there now. No doubt a beautiful property. Watch Coolist's video on that one. My impression is massive property, a tad cookie cutter, im sure they have good food and nice amenities. Personally im not a fan of massive properties, I've been to CHiC and its the opposite of that with some of the best service i've ever seen where everything was premium
