thanks so much when this game came out I was 7 which means I didn’t play the original so when I tried to get the gem in this level I always got 111 boxes broken I thought it was a glitch and moved on after 5 years now I know there is a hidden box on top of the metal boxes
seriously i beat it and was like why is the crystal counter box (the near the end) in the middle of the level, cause i had 84 or something cause i missed the hidden one and the invisible path that lead to the cortex trial
since its the first game it doesnt really matter though does it you knew i meant the gem which is how you were able to correct me so why does it matter :/

legiongamerworkBRUH ben There are certain levels that award you with a colour gem if you destroy all the boxes in it without dying. Look up a guide for more details.

1:42 Useless geek trivia Of all the gems that require a colored-gem-induced path to obtain, this is the only one whose required colored gem is located in a previous area. In every other case, it's found in a future area, so backtracking is required. So the gem in Jaws of Darkness is theoretically obtainable on your first visit.
My problem was at the second neo cortex box i would spin attack the snake straight into the boxes, and i guess it didnt let me to actually get the box contents to open up the other bonus level..
You have to get the blue gem. In order to do so, you have to break all the boxes without dying in towic waste. It is not hard at all, very easy level, probably the easiest colored gem to get.
I was wondering if anybody could help me, you see in the first bonus round, once you are at the second bit with the boxes that blow up, how do u jump on those wood boxes in a row without falling and get to the platform and exit out of the bonus round? Whenever i have made it i seem to drop of one of those wooden boxes and then loose but i don't know what i am doing wrong. How do i consecutively move and jump from wood box to box without falling of?
do you guys find this difficult? remember that in ps1 version if you die in the bonus you can't replay unless you play ALL the level again and collect AGAIN the three faces

You have to conplete the level ‘toxic waste’ without dying AND getting every box in the level, Once you do that you Get the blue gem which unlocks the blue path
I hate this level .. the amount of frustration this game gives me. Also the angles don't always match when you jump on the other platforms. Before you know it you've fallen down a gap for 100th time 👎

Thanks! I couldn't find the second Cortex face pick up because i kept spinning the snake in to the TNT box.

they did a similar thing with a brio token in jungle rollers so when I was 1 cortex token short of the portal, I was like "WAIT A MINUTE!"

I have passed the cortex bonus and I got the key and the diamond but at the end the key wasn’t added to the total of my keys !! Any idea why??
Also, remember not to kill the snake with a spin attack where the second cortex token.

Cortex drops it when he flies off at the end of he cortex bonus round. In the video you don't see it but you can hear the music when he picks it up
