Living in Northern Ireland during the great years of BMX we had nothing like this. We only had magazines to go by. Alot of tricks you copied then added your own touch depending on where you could ride. We had no places other than flat parks. Ramps were never made as they got burnt down by others in a day. Zero skate parks. And about 3 dedicated bmx tracks in the whole country, and these were not places you could travel to as a kid. We lived in a time when people were being blown up or shot in public day after day. So bmx was something at the bottom of lists for people. Looking threw magazines of what others had across the world especially in America yes we were jealous of all the avaliable places people could go. But as kids we still managed to somehow have fun. Sadly yes troubles always got in the way and as such bmx never grew or kept going like other places around the world did. The troubles have left a dark cloud over just about everyone's life as it affected each individual person. So we were extremely grateful to the super stars of bmx for giving us ideas and hope ❤
Love the channel I was a huge flat lander and had build my own 1/2 pipe ramp back in the day. I made it too local news but nothing more 🤣🤷🏻♂️ awesome memories. I feel like I could get back on a bike after all the yrs past and have a more of understanding of physics and balance. Never left the thrill of challenge races mx etc but just always go back to my memories of bmx the good ol days 👍🏼 I’m almost 53yrs old and still rocking it
Eddie, your one handed lookback air became such an iconic image. I think it would be awesome to have t-shirts made with that printed on them. I would definitely buy one!
Love the channel Eddie! I hear Bob Morales has VHS tapes of all the AFA comps professionally recorded and sitting in boxes in his attic. He needs to get those onto RUclips! That was a sub-business, they would professionally record the comps and sell the videos after.
Your show was amazing when I was 11 years old driving with my dad we saw you with GT banners from the freeway we pulled over not too far out of Oxnard had a big parking lot. I was able to see the whole thing. Thanks for all that you do 🙌💯
Like you said Eddie you weren't doing all the newest tricks but the tricks you were doing were stylish and you made them your own with your good showman style i always liked that all black leathers . Also do you have any old footage of the first skatepark contests with you fred becker, steve bennet , and jeff watson thanks Eddie
Do you still talk to Bob Morales I wonder if he has footage of those contests and the 1st 4 afa contests especially the first afa worlds championship in 1983 that's the roots and history of are sport , so important thanks
Love your channel! Ive been a fan since rad. Your still the coolest guy. But hey, didnt they let u pick your own music to ride to??? Peace. Keep it up.
It’s so great to hear you tell it and get your thoughts 💭 35 yrs later, that’s rad..

Great idea!
I'm obsessed with thin tires because of your bikes! Panaracers are fine, but they could be a little thinner.
Fast Eddie... you do that moonwalk better than MJ! 🕶
