I think it depends on which region you are in. While I applaud these women for doing well at the tournament and for the poster to share this with us (much appreciated!), I agree that there are many places where these women would be 3.0 and definitely wouldn't be winning a 3.5 tournament. At our club it is quite difficult to get to 3.5 and at the high 3.0 level shots are very varied and aggressive...more so than how these women are playing. You can see that the sport is changing. And it doesn't matter your age, as your ranking is your ranking. I don't want to take anything against these players, as they are competing in a tournament where the standard is perhaps more consistent with the basic US Pickleball classifications. And they made it to the finals. So congrats! I find that many clubs are much tighter with their standards now (at least where I live). Perhaps some of these clubs are being too severe with ratings. I don't know.
