Good awareness of the situation and it took the lady in black's big forehand (what a shot!) out of the game mostly. Lady in white has some sweet sweet hands, beautifully played indeed ma'am, classy work.

U.S. Open semifinal with no referee?
The US open does not provide a ref until the medal matches. They have starters for each match that explain the rules and format, but then leave.
@@spaghettimanpickleball There was supposed to be a referee for the pre-medal matches as well.
